Works good
Works very well for my two hermit crabs. I have a screen on top of my aquarium and I sit this directly on the screen. It keeps the crabs warm with the right temperature and doesn’t burn the screen. Safe. Well made and does as described in description

This dome lamp is well worth the money. I have had it since before Thanksgiving. I got the purple bulb that screws in I use this 24/7. I live in a single house my room gets really chilly and it’s this is still working I highly recommend it. The bulb does cause the dome lamp to get hot so you do have to be careful with that but the sand is at the right temperature that my hermit crab lays on

Broke right away
This broke right away and we ended up going into a brick and mortar to buy a different one. However we found out that heat lamps are terrible for hermit crabs and heat mats are the way to go. No one should be buying these for hermit crabs. Too hot.

This product does get really hot on the outside so if you need to move it, be careful when handling (once it’s been on). Not sure if it was the bulb or the dome light but i bought them from the same brand, this company. First bulb blew within 10 minutes. second bulb was BENT and is now stuck inside of the dome light. not worth the hassle
