Our bird toy designs utilize a diverse selection of stimulating materials and encompass all the critical destructible, interactive, comfort, exercise and foraging bird toy categories necessary to ensure the well-being of pet birds.
For XL bird toys we utilize medium to hard woods like pine, birch and maple as well as a variety of other materials to encourage exploration and chewing. Of course, we also incorporate lots of other fun and colorful features to stimulate their visual, tactile and auditory senses and to challenge their minds.

Playthings with a Purpose!
Instinctively, pet birds are still very much like their wild counterparts. Play is a natural behavior for parrots. Wild parrots have been observed engaging in several different kinds of play including object play, balancing games, play that involves movement, acoustic play and social play with other birds like “chase me” or pretend fighting.
However, in captivity, opportunities to participate in natural activities have been reduced to a bare minimum leaving a lot of “free time” often leading to boredom which in turn has been shown to result in the development of behavioral, mental, and physical health problems.

My Umbrella Cockatoo is pretty skittish around ANYTHING new, or changes to the room she’s in for that matter. That being said, this was a pretty bold buy. She loves it! Has been about a month since we received it, and she has used it to finally get some of the point off her beak! Still looks good, but well loved, lol. Will return for more toys, as she has really taken to them lately and chewed through her ropes, lol…

I love this and so does my cockatoo! This has kept her interest for quite awhile and there’s a lot for her to do and tear up! I would think for the bigger birds this is a perfect toy!

Definitely a bird pleaser. A few downsides.
The bright colors definitely made it interesting to my blue throat macaw. Unfortunately it only came with one c hook to attach it and nothing holding on the other side, which lead to me having to rebuild the toy upon arrival. I do with it was a bit bigger, as it may have laster more than 4 hours in the cage if it had been.

Cockatoo funtime!
My Umbrella Cockatoo will make toothpicks of it in no time, but he’ll have fun doing it! It will keep him busy and happy. He loves lots of bright colors, and it’s a good size for him.

Toys for my Macaw
The toy is a great toy for my macaw. There are a lot of things for him to chew on/destroy. The only issue has been that is that he destroyed the toy so quickly (2days) that the price is a little much for the time used. But now I have a beginner piece to reconstruct.

Low quality wood – last 1 day!
I have bought many bird toys for macaws in the past, this toy is only ‘okay” for tiny birds. This bird toy is made of low-quality wood,very small and thin and breaks very easily.Also the plastic material is horrible and breaks in just one day!Its advertised as “X-Large” however its not made for mid-size and large birds at all (way overpriced for whats advertised for!).Do not waste your money on this item. Its not worth it at all. All I have left after one day is a $35 worthless-chain!

My cockatoo absolutely loves this toy, and anytime I see it on sale I get it for her. She will spend all day on the bottom of her cage chewing and chewing and chewing. It donât last long, but she has fun while it last. I recommend this to anyone with a larger bird, Amazon, African gray, cockatoo or macaw. Your bird will have fun!

My white capped pionus loves toys but its hard to find a toy that is a suitable in size for his big strong beak and destructive ways. This toy is awesome!!! It fills his need to bite and chew wood and turn it into slivers but its big enough pieces he actually has to work at it. He destroys most toys in a day (or less) and is looking for more.

When this arrived, the chain that should have been holding it together was broken. It was basically a bag full of loose pieces. There was no broken link for the chain, so it was packaged broken. If I had paid the current price of $57. I would have been more annoyed. Since I paid $38. and can still use the pieces, it’s less of an issue, but not by much. If I wanted to make toys, I would start from scratch. I know parrot toys are expensive, but I don’t really think this one is worth the $38 I paid, and I certainly wouldn’t pay more. There are better options.
