Great light for a small tank!
This light is a great upgrade for my Fluval Flex 15 (it takes some modifications to the lid to get it to sit flush)planted tank. I’ve had it about a month, my plants are perking up. I like the setting options and the ease of use. I have not had any power outages, and that is unfortunate that the light settings do not “save” and need to be reset each time power is lost, but I still give this light a 5 star rating, it is a power house for such a small light.

Hexagon tank
This is a tall tank and the light reaches all the way to the bottom! I absolutely adore this light, the app was confusing at first but I quickly figured it out. The sunrise and sunset is very satisfying and it seems like a very sturdy unit with a panel covering the lights to add to the water proofness. 11/10!

Awesome programmability, but looses time if power goes out
These lights are the top of the line (in terms of programmability) aquarium lights if you’re growing plants. I have 3 of them on different tanks and use them for floating aquatic plants. The brightness can be programmed to change throughout the day in both brightness and color. This can be done for both aesthetic reasons and growth reasons. There is one big flaw – the lights don’t remember the time of day if your power goes out so you have to resync to the mobile application on your phone/tablet. The iOS app works well for setting up/programming the lights. The user interface on the phone app is a little klunky in how it refers to saving and recalling lighting programs. I’ve programmed my lights several times now and still get confused when saving/recalling lighting programs. Clean up the user interface on the app when saving/recalling programs and put in a clock chip on the light hardware that keeps running for a few days with a power outage (or if you unplug your lights to work on the tanks), and I’d give it 5 stars. These lights are not cheap. They feel pretty water-proof so far. I’ve accidently poured water over them a few times and nothing got in. The top of the light does run hot to the touch. This doesn’t seem to heat up the tank, though.

What an upgrade!
My previous light was connected to Philips Hue power socket. When it turned on or off, the shrimp and fish was visually startled. With this light, itâs gradually and the shrimp and fish is a whole lot more content. Bonus points for supporting low light, which allows the shy ones to come out and be seen.My tank is heavily planted and lots of hiding places. Iâm able to look into those hiding spots when the light is at its daylight setting, but itâs still dark enough for shy or nocturnal inhabitants to find shelter. The spread of the light is also pretty awesome.

This is the light I should have bought in the first place
I was trying to keep costs down and since I mainly have low light plants I figured I could get away with some of the cheaper lighting solutions out there. However, they just weren’t providing me with the kind of output I needed. Turns out I really want to be able to support medium light plants as well.Generally I’d say that I could stand to use just a bit more brightness, but I’m happy enough that I’ll stick with this light. The feature I love the most, and the prompt for this review, is the pro timer settings. With 10 programmable times it allows me to simulate a day/night cycle. The best part is that the light gradually transitions from one time setting to the next. For instance, if pure white is set to 50% at 9am and 100% at noon it will gradually increase from the 50% to 100% over that entire time. I expected it to go from 50% immediately to 100% at noon. You can also run a preview during the setup so you can see the span of an entire day in about 20 seconds.I know that sounds complicated, so just do what I did and do a search online for Fluval Plant 3.0 pro settings. I found a YT video by someone named Bentley and basically used his settings as a baseline and made minor tweaks. If that’s still too involved there are Auto settings as well. Who am I kidding. You’re reading this because you’re extra and what I just described sounds dope af. Buy it.

Great light. Love the adjustability. After you set it, you can forget it.

Really nice light with alot of great features. Ended up getting one for my terrarium as well and can confirm it works great for both aquatic and terrestrial plants.

After using this for a couple of months the results in my tropical tank are excellent. the light has promoted lush growth on all plants, even to the point I’m regularly pruning. Work even with some plants that are fussy with light levels. The app allows you to fine tune the light to your need with both the colour balance and timings. I can highly recommend it
