Pleco cave, maybe, but not at this time ð
Nice and bulky item. Has some weight so sinks to bottom of fish tank immediately. Bristlenose not quite breeding age yet, shows no interest in caves at this time.

New Home for my bristle nose Pleco
I have been keeping bushy nose pleco for years and successfully breed and raise them. I have used the terracotta watering spikes as pleco cave. The watering spikes are cheap and functional, however they donât look natural in the tank.Now Amazon is offering this product for people to try out so I just grabbed it. The cave came in at good condition, natural looking, has smooth edges. Compared with the watering spikes, it is short, only around 4.5 inches long. The size of the watering spikes are about 7 inches.The size of the opening is almost the same as the watering spikes.My male pleco is a bit over 4.5 inches so this cave might be too tight for him.Anyway, I rinsed the cave with tap water then aquarium water and put it in the breeding tank. The cave is well designed and looks realistic in my tank setup. My male pleco is still just looking at it. I figured if he doesnât like it, the other little ones can use it to practice house cleaning skills and play hide and see with each other in it.

Great color, texture and solid ceramic material!
It’s a great cave that serves as a safe space for your fish, allowing them to rest, breed, and lay eggs in this dark cave, as they see it as an environment where predators cannot reach.I plan on burying most of my Pleco cave beneath rocks and substrate in a way that would be natural and pleasant for the fish.

I ORDERED THIS TO USE IN MY BETTA FISH’S BOWL. YOU CAN SEE THAT I HAVE A MINI SUB ON TOP OF THE CAVE. SO IT DOES TWOFOLD, ONE IS A PLACE FOR MY FISH TO HIDE, BUT ALSO I CAN USE IT AS A RISER IN THE TANK TO PUT OTHER THINGS OF TOP OF, WHICH MAKES IT GREAT AND VERY VERSATILE. SO NOW MY FISH HAVE TWO PLACES TO HIDE THE CAVE AND THE SUB. I HAVE THREE BETTA FISH SO I AM THINKING OF ORDERING ANOTHER ONE FOR ONE OF THE OTHER BOWLS. GREAT ITEM AND GREAT PRICE POINT.
