I got this camera for baby monitor. It was easy and smooth to setup, graphic turns to be no glitches clear image with rotation and live feeds. There are quite some customized settings for preference in the app, which is convenient. The sound recording is clear as well. Except for setting up, no noise created by this camera. However, the motion detection is a big issue for my use – the camera couldn’t pick up baby movements and alert me even I set it as the highest sensitivity and it sometimes rotate itself. Overall, good live feed camera but not good sleeping monitor for baby safety.

Easy set up, and clear images. Hide away microSD slot.
This was easy to set up (pairing to wifi, app registration) and the images it produces are clear. Much of the utility from these inexpensive surveillance cameras comes from the apps. The “Goscom Pro” app is Ok. Like many others, they frequently prompt you to buy cloud storage, and in this case a password storage system. I aways pass on all that and use a mini SD card instead; you can store quite a bit on a cheap (supply it yourself) 128gb card and instruct the camera to over-write the oldest footage as it cycles through the weeks. Without a card or cloud storage, these cameras have limited use, so count on dropping around 10 extra bucks for the max sized card (because you really should get the largest the camera can take, and they are cheap!) The app gives you a wide range of controls. I found the joystick style where you drag a green dot in the center in the direction you want the camera to point a bit counter-intuitive at first, but I’m used to it now. As with others, you can also just control it by dragging your finger on the live image and pulling the camera in the direction of your swipe. The interesting thing about this camera, and some other cameras I’ve tried recently is that it has a “hide away” slot for the memory card. That means it disappears unless the camera is tilted all the way up towards the ceiling. That’s an advantage, as someone who didn’t want to be seen might notice the card and remove it, but they would be unlikely to find it. In fact, I didn’t find it at first and was disappointed to think (falsely) that it had no slot for the card. So, I do like that aspect of the design. The software is extremely sensitive to noise and even small changes in scenery. You’ll most likely want to use the “humanoid detection” filter when reviewing events. Other apps give you an even wider range of choices for filtering all that footage, but this one has the essentials, motion, sound, and ‘humanoids.’ This is the first time I’ve used one of these for an indoor shot, and that’s for a house we are leaving vacant. You’ll have to judge how much of the mundane day to day you want to share with the app makers if you set it up in a home that you and yours occupy.

Surprisingly simple to set up.. even for one who is not tech savvy!! Tbh, I was hesitant and feel it’s important to mention- this can be a real success for even a beginner or first time “in home” monitoring user! Includes a basic and straightforward set of instructions, but take note: this does require an app download to access all personal feature and functions- including the ability to view activity while you’re away!I would rate App a 4/5 for being user-friendly.. I do suggest to read thru instructions to help understand systems basic function and DO utilize apps “setup” feature! Follow it along step-by-step to become familiar to gain all the benefits of what camera can do. Things like: set motion detection, 2-way voice chatting, notifications to ping cell phone, ability for camera to track moving object in the room.. ie, an intruder, an animal, etc!Camera must connect to indoor power source. Camera includes a fixed mount bracket to use as an option.. OR, set it free standing on its unique base and move around as needed. Easy to connect to home Wi-Fi⦠and it holds connection without dropping- we’ve had no issue over x10days since setup. Finally, download the app so you can access all of the services and features- and get your service rolling!Definitely useful for monitoring an infant nursery.. a main room where you leave pets when not at home.. could even be a solid option for in home extra security while you’re away at work daily or traveling on vacation. Small dome/base has a small footprint (sz. like a Coke can!). Picture has impressive quality even in a darker setting! Sound his also respectable- nothing distorted, no echo and ample volume. I equate all these type features to that of an iPhone cell quality. Meets our need to view foster dog in living room space while away at work for the day! Hoping info can help- stay safe everyone.

Couldn’t Connect…
Not sure how to rate this since I was unable to connect to my wifi, despite following directions and multiple attempts, I ended up returning.
