Heavy duty well made sturdy with fairly sharp teeth.
Please either hire a expereinced equine care person, vet, ferrier, or make certain you’ve gained enough expereince with shoeing a horse. Do not try this without proper knowledge and training.Remember when clinching, don’t lower the clincher or pull up. Just set the clincher hold level and close the jaws, be sure to cut the nails as close as possible first, clinch, and finish with a file.These bite well and make quick work of setting the nails.I don’t have a video to upload this time because I’m not sure how the whole thing works with providing videos that involve animals. However, I can tell you this clincher is a significant improvement over my 12 year old set that I’ve replaced. They are well made, very well balanced, bite well, and will easily last me another decade.

These clinchers are nice, they are sturdy and they don’t flex. there is very little play in the joints and they are very comfortable in the hand.

Nice Hoof Clincher
The clincher has teeth that grab well and closed nails tight. The handle is comfortable and works well. The finish on it came with a few blemishes but it doesn’t affect its function. Great buy if you need a pair to help set nails.

They come in a red pouch, and wrapped in a couple layers of plastic. Does the job! They look really nice, and have a good grip. The handles aren’t too long or too short to me, so getting a good hold is easy. Will update if we have any issues.

Nice quality and great for emergencies
I have switched my horse to a 9 week shoeing schedule. Since his shoes are more likely to get loose I needed hoof clinchers. These are working perfectly! I am easily able to tighten my loose nails without having to call the farrier in between scheduled visits. I took a lesson from my farrier and feel comfortable doing it, but I would suggest getting your farrier or vet to show you how to use them properly. They are very easy to use and a nice length with good leverage. They come in a handy cloth case and inside a ziplock bag. They were lightly oiled when they arrived and I am keeping them that way so they donât rust. Iâm very pleased and recommend them highly!

Quality clinchers.
I shoe my own horses and have been needing to replace my old clinchers so thought I’d try these. They appear to be of good quality and come in a cloth bag to keep them in, if desired. Right now my horses have their shoes pulled for winter so I can’t verify how good they are to use but they look like they will do the job. They seem to be heavy duty and I don’t think they will wear out for many years.
