I have 3 rats who like to run and are almost impossible to hold still for nail trims. This did nothing to trim the nail in the slightest, it did however wear out in less than a month. And since you have to replace the whole track instead of the piece of sandpaper… 18-20 every 3 weeks is too pricey for something that didn’t help. The only thing it did do was cause abrasions on their feet, my girls must like running too much, because it was rough on them. I would not use this for a rat, especially boy rats… cant imagine this would feel too great on their balls.

I was hesitant from mixed reviews. This track definitely works. I noticed a difference in their little claws shortly after. So it does file them. The problem I would say is keeping the track clean, it’s not easy to clean. My suggies don’t make that much of a mess on them tho, but I noticed couple odd speckles and not easy to get out. Anyways this worked for my sugar gliders and I would recommend it to others.
