Customers say

Customers find the harness well-made with quality nylon and appreciate its effectiveness in minimizing pulling. The harness is comfortable with its soft chest piece and easy to put on and adjust, making walks enjoyable. While the harness provides plenty of room for adjustment, some customers note that the leash is too short for small dogs.

Cuts pulling down greatly, allowing us to train more effectively.
Our girl is 1000% determined to pull my shoulder out of place. This harness cut it down to 100% pulling. I love the ease of getting it on her. It was easily adjusted and I am confident will fit her into adulthood (🤞 only another 10 pounds). The leash is great! I love that I can have a shorter leash without worrying about wrapping it around my hand/arm to shorten it. But if I want to give her a few more feet of freedom, I can easily use it as a regular leash. I did have to add a muzzle lead to cut the pulling down to 10% (which is still sometimes a lot with a stubborn 50 pound pittie puppy) but I think with more training and time this harness will be all we need. Instead of clipping to the front of the harness and the back, I clip to the muzzle lead and the back. Works miracles!! So far I’ve not seen her chew on any part. I doubt it would hold up to her teefs very long, but most things don’t. I am very happy and will purchase again if needed, and recommend to friends/family/complete strangers.

Works great, glad we got it!
It’s been only a few days, maybe 3-4, since we started using this and it has made a big difference! My dog is medium size (got him M) who is a very strong puller.Good points:1.) No more hurting for my dog – I was already afraid his throat was hurting a lot when he pulls and pulls on a regular leash attached to his collar, usually when there’s another dog in sight that he’d cough and choke after. But he would not stop pulling! The harness removed all that force from his neck. The force of his pull has also lessened. There was one time I was getting a doggy poop bag out to scoop his poop when another dog came in sight and he just bolted after him. I was not ready and really, I thought he could have pulled my arm off my socket. Since then, another off-leash dog has snuck up on us, he was already in this harness, and thank goodness, the pull was not as strong.2.) No more hurting for me – The old leash I was using also grazed open my skin when he yanked it. That was not a fun night. It’s not a problem with this leash, it has smooth soft materials. Although, I have to say, I’ve also been more careful about wearing a glove most of the time ever since that first incident. That said, I have used this without a glove when my dog pulled and so far, no damage on my skin.3.) Less pulling force – I am ready to say, this front pull thing works. After looking at reviews of a couple of brands I decided on Freedom, so this is our first no-pull dog harness. With it, my dog’s yanking and pulling does not feel as strong anymore (but if he decides to stand still like a statue when something afar is of interest to him, I still cannot move him. And I will not yank him either, I’m following training guides that says it’s better to entice him to follow you of his own accord).4.) The quality of the materials are good – I also bought my dog a long leash for playing and training at a local pet shop. I was disappointed that the metal clip (clasp?) was not very big. I didn’t have any problems with it so far, but for a long leash, I’d imagine a sturdier metal clip. I was afraid of getting the same with this order, but nope, this harness came with a nice big, solid looking metal clip so I’m really happy with it.5.) Pretty colors – I ordered Teal with a silver leash and I love the colors! The teal harness also perfectly matches the collar I ordered from a different supplier which is another plus for me.There are only two things I can say that may be a concern, but I don’t think are real hindrances:1. It needs to go over the head: head, mouth, dog = might be a problem. Unless you train your dog to like it, it’s not always fun to have something go over a dog’s head. My dog thinks it’s playtime and the leash is for chewing or tug of war. He is trained to sit when I put on the harness or leash so this only happens when he is in an extra playful mood. There are free training videos out there on how to put harness or anything over your dog’s head/mouth, so it’s really not too bad, just takes a little getting used to. And since we’ve had a few days of using this, it now takes just a few seconds to put it on.2. It’s heavier – When I hold it, I feel like I’m putting it on a horse (nope, never had a horse!), only because it feels heavier than a regular leash. However, considering the materials, it’s a very small thing and not a real problem or concern. I do think I should have ordered a medium 5/8 for my dog instead of the 1″ but it’s still good. My dog might still grow into it. The M is a little too big for my dog too (37 pds with 25″ girth), even after adjusting it’s still a teeny bit loose, but it does not also seem to be a problem.July 11, 2017 UPDATE:We still love this harness, but we just needed to update the review and reduce it to four stars (because we did expect it to last longer). It’s been five months and we’ve been using it everyday since. It started to pull apart about a month ago on two spots as you can see in the picture. Need to get a new one now.Oct 18, 2017 UPDATE:Back to five stars. Read through the product policy again and saw tha they have a lifetime warranty. You just pay for shipping and they repair it for you. I have since sent my dog-damaged harnessed and received it like it’s brand new! So yes, we love this harness!

    I’ve tried everything…
I’ve tried everything… and I mean everything. I adopted a 10-month-old German Shepherd a few weeks ago. Within just a few hours of bringing him home, it became very apparent that he has had zero training his whole life and no manners what so ever. This can be extremely dangerous with a 62lb mouthy, hyper, giant shepherd puppy that doesn’t know how to walk on a leash without jerking arms off and stubbornly does what he wants when he wants.Even after three private training sessions focusing on the leash manners, his leash manners were lacking because he is stubborn and wants to do what he wants even though he learns extremely quickly in just a few repetitions.I’ve bought three other no-pull harnesses and they did little to nothing. He is underweight and still built like a puppy so his chest is narrow but very deep. None of the harnesses I attempted would fit him properly. So, with the advice of my Vet and the trainer, I tried the Halti headcollar which caused a massive temper tantrum and scene in Petsmart after his last training session. He will wear it but as soon as you want to lead him with it, he loses it.This was the fourth no pull training harness I bought and it was my hail mary. This is the first harness that has more ways of adjusting so that it fit him perfectly and is extremely comfortable for him to wear. His pulling is much improved. He still fights the harness but at least I haven’t hurt my shoulder again attempting to walk him. This harness is fantastic, especially if you have a hard time finding one that will fit. It does work really well and Ripley is learning with each walk to not pull with the aid of it. So, kudos on that. My body is eternally grateful. The harness itself is very well made and durable. It is heavy-duty material with very good stitching. I have been using it daily for a while now without seeing any signs of wear even when he tries to play with it. They do offer a warranty should the harness be chewed up by your dog and will replace parts of it for the cost of shipping. I think this is a nice bonus. However, the training leash that is included in the bundle, while just as well made and just as heavy-duty, did not fare as well. Ripley managed to chew it apart and now I have to order another. All in all, I gave it four stars overall only because of the leash succumbing to chewing. The harness is definitely worth five stars for its comfort, sturdiness, and durability. I just couldn’t give it five overall because I paid extra for the training leash bundle and got to use it twice before it ended up in pieces in the trash.tl:dr: I would definitely recommend this harness to anyone, even if their dog doesn’t pull with the caveat of: do a better job hiding the leash than I did. It won’t survive om nom nom noming on it.

My dog was an extreme puller. Like I thought I was going to have wrist injuries. Since he is a hound mix, he has the belly size of a lab but a much smaller neck circumference, which made it difficult to find harness that fit him properly and stayed more or less put when he got exctied and pulled. This harness fits him very well. I like the front ring option because it does reduce pulling and the ring sits high enough on the fit that it doesn’t cause the leash to get caught up in his front legs too much. I like the martingale ring in the back as well for times when he’s not pulling so much because it’s very easy for him not to get tangled, even as he runs from side to side. The harness is very easy to clean and is the first one I’ve found that fits well and doesn’t cause my dog’s delicate hound belly skin to get super red and chaffy. I did not find the two- carabiner leash to be as helpful as I thought it would be for reducing pulling. It seemed like the carabiner on the back ring was doing more work when he pulled, so I prefer to use a regular and trustworthy strong leash with the just the front ring.

We have a 3.5-year-old male Labrador who weighs 38.5 kilos (85lbs) and has the strength of a small car. Because of his naturally inquisitive nature, he needs to get everywhere at lightning speed which means whenever I take him out, he constantly pulls on his lead (yeah, I’m a Brit) and by the time we get home, my arms were always aching with the strain. We’ve tried quite a few different harnesses/restraints over the years and all to no avail. This one turned up yesterday after we returned from another torturous walk (for me) so today was the first attempt. I confess that after having read the positive reviews for this harness, I remained sceptical, however comforted by the fact that I could return it when I proved it didn’t work. The harness is available in several different colours to suit the owner’s choice or match with the dog’s coat. I was concerned that the harness and lead would be somewhat flimsy, but they are extremely well made and very strong. We went out on our usual walk in the countryside and I am honestly amazed by the transformation!!Initially, there was no pulling at all until he got used to the harness. Any pulling after that was quickly corrected by a slight (and I mean slight) tug on his lead or by me simply stopping. I kept him on the double lead until we left the village where we live then had him on the single lead attached to the top of the harness for the rest of the walk.I can honestly say that today was the first time in 3.5 years that I thoroughly enjoyed taking the dog out for a walk. No more aching arms for me but more importantly, no more choking noises from my dog which I always found distressing.

My doggo likes to pull so much so that I dislike walking him. Was recommended this 2 hound no pull harness and leash by an animal volunteer person and never look back since. Although my doggo still pulls but is very manageable. Thanks for the great product. Highly recommend.

If you have a real ‘pull and drag you down the road’ dog, pls consider this harness! We have tried positive reinforcements (albeit, we’re not always consistent) and also tried the Gentle Leader (sometimes works, sometimes doesn’t and we discovered that he was able to wriggle out of the snout loop 🤦🏻‍♀️). It was giving us backache and armache walking him on a daily basis…I did a lot of research to find a real no-pull harness because I’ve also read of many stories and reviews where the dogs are able to wriggle out of harnesses, and how harnesses are actually enabling the pulling to make it worse.Anyway, I finally decided on this “2 Hounds Design No-Pull Harness” due to the positive reviews on the design and how it worked. I was very dubious at first and after struggling to get it on the first time, I’m amazed at how this harness is such a game-changer. The first time we walked out with it on, my dog was walking beside us, loose-leashed like he was Mr. Easygoing. We’ve been using the harness for a few weeks now and it’s worked so well that I wanted to share this in case someone needs something like this. I won’t deny that if he sees a squirrel, he will still try to pull your arm out of the socket but the harness is a lot more effective in holding him back than either the Gentle Leader or the martingale collar that we use.Highly recommended, although it’s a bit pricey but it was worth it for us. There’s a double-ended lead that comes with it, so you can change where you need to attach it – either both on the back loop, or one in front and one on the back for better control.
