I use it for cat litter to keep it cleaner for longer
This thing is a life (and money) saver! I use it to clean up the little bits of cat mess chunks that slip through a regular cat scoop and taint the litter box. It has saved me HUNDREDS in the time I’ve bought it because the litterbox stays so clean that I don’t have to dump the whole thing out! I can just add more litter when it gets low! The cats love it too. They love not getting clumps of litter stuck under their claws because I remove it with this thing.It’s very sturdy and great quality. Had it for about a year and has NO rusting either. I bought two of them, one for my second litterbox as well. I imagine that if it works on fine litter, it would work on sand just great. You just gotta shake it a little like a sifter. Works wonders.

Makes Cleaning Bearded Dragon Cage Very Fast
If you use sand or similar material for your reptile or bearded dragon, this shovel is just the right size and screen filter size to scoop up any dead bugs, old food particles, or waste in a quick and efficient manner. The scooper is designed for a wide shovel range while letting all the sand to fall through leaving the cage looking and smelling fresh. I highly recommend getting this if you are stuck doing things by hand or using one of those smaller spoons or scoopers that often aren’t set at the right screen mesh value to get what you want and leave what you don’t want.

Great for easy cleanup!

Pretty decent for hamster sand baths, not perfect
I got this to clean my hamsterâs sand bath, even though itâs advertised for reptiles. It actually works surprisingly well for scooping out the big chunks of soiled sand and bedding.That said, it doesnât really catch the smaller bitsâlike poopâso I still have to go in and spot-clean a little after. Not a huge deal, but worth mentioning if youâre expecting a perfect clean in one go.Even with that, I still use it regularly and it definitely makes the process faster and less messy overall. Just donât expect it to catch everything. For hamster sand, it does the job well enough!

Better than regular plastic scoopers!
I got this to replace my old cat litter scooper, which was plastic with had very large gaps that would allow all of the small dirty pieces fall through which was very annoying. This worked great at fixing that and now I can keep the litter box truly cleaned. It feels sturdy and like itâs good quality so very happy with my purchase.

Much better than plastic
The I bought this for my son’s bearded dragon’s cage after we lost the plastic one. It is fantastic! It’s much sturdier than the plastic one he used before, making it easier to clean the cage without worrying about it breaking. Plus, it can be hung for storage, which is super convenient. Highly recommend for any reptile owner that uses sand substrate.

Screen needs to be a finer mesh
This is a nice way of sifting the sand of rodent sand baths however the screen holes are too large and my dwarf hamsters poop goes right through it. Which kind of defeats the purpose. I am going to have to buy a kitchen fine mesh sifter for my hamsters sand bath cleaning.
