Foot toys are small toys that birds can easily pick up with their feet and chew with their beak. My Amazon loves them, and it distracts her from competing with the TV at 110 decibels. She makes a royal mess but that’s better than making me bleed from the ears. I like that these are a natural option, because I worry about what’s used to make the cheaper Chinese finger toys that our screechy little sqwakers love so much.

I purchased these ‘foot toys’ for my Congo African Gray. We recently lost our other parrot and being unaccustomed to alone time she needed something for a distraction on the occasions that I am busy or must be gone. These worked well to relieve her anxiety and help her adjust to life in a single parrot household.They are simply made, fairly easy to discover and destroy, and satisfy the desire to just do something besides sit on a perch. They are fairly adaptable as well, as I poked her kabob holder through one of them as she was able to really work at tearing it off. They make great foot toys while she’s on the play gym in the living room as well and she enjoys pulling the grass one apart while I knit or read. Again, better than just sitting and watching me do something or trying to steal my yarn.

Important to Purchase for Correct Bird
It is important to note, these products are very, very good for a bird with the right temperament… I purchased them for my dove… Unfortunately, she had no interest in them whatsoever… Now they are being used in potpourri… Not an issue… Excellent addition to my home decor…
