Great for Water, But Not for Live Food
The Small Reptile Food Dish works great for waterâitâs the perfect size and easy to clean. However, itâs not the best choice for live food, like crickets, as they tend to escape easily from the dish. Itâs a solid, well-made product, but if youâre feeding live prey, you might need something with higher sides or a more enclosed design.Overall, itâs a good water bowl but not ideal for live food!

Great Bowls for Reptiles
I like the stump like paint job that these dishes have. I use them for my hognose snake to provide water. He drinks out of it regularly. They are made of quality material and don’t seem like they would break easily. They are not super big so they work well for this reptile, but they could work for more. It is a great price for 2 of them.

Bowl is scratchy on the inside bottom –
I like the look of these, wide with low sides, but the wood-look design on the inside base is scratchy/rough. On one hand, that may keep food from sliding around, if you’ve got a reptile that tends to have trouble grabbing. On the other, I worry a bit about food getting trapped inside of the tiny scratches and breeding bacteria. I admit, I’m not an expert and don’t know if they could, but I think I’d wash carefully every couple of days to be sure.

Best crab bowls ever
These small tree stump bowls are the best hermit crab bowls Iâve come across in over 20 years of keeping crabs. Theyâre perfectly sized for my eight medium to jumbo-sized hermits — ideal for holding a weekâs supply of worm frass and greensand or a larger serving of fresh items.While the carved tree stump design looks fantastic in my Caribbean-themed enclosure, itâs the functionality that really shines. The bowls have just the right lip height to keep food from being scattered everywhere but are still low enough for all my crabs to access easily. The textured finish is another bonus, allowing my isopod and beetle cleanup crew to grab a snack without trouble.I always test new items thoroughly before introducing them to my hermit tank, and these passed with flying colors. After soaking them in soapy water for four hours and scrubbing with a stiff brush, there was no paint chipping or damage, so Iâm confident theyâre safe for use.

This 2 pack of reptile bowls looks like the pictures so itâs a very natural look. The size is accurate. The quality is decent as the texture is etched into the bowl. The texture is scratchy and rough though so I wouldnât recommend this for any delicate-skinned animals. It works perfect for my purpose though. The price is reasonable for a 2-pack as well.
