Bowls are great – tools are worthless
Bowls are great! Perfect size for fancy leopard gecko 15g terrarium and cricket keeper. Tools not so much. Too small and hard to use. I think the price is still fair even without being able to use the tools.

These are a nice size for most small reptiles and critters, I am using them for millipedes at the moment. They do look very rock-like and fit in well with natural styled décor, no neon colors here! They do feel solid and have a nice weight to them, so even if they are empty I imagine they would be difficult to push around the tank and should stay in place.These state they are for both food and water, and I am currently using mine for freeze dried foods including dried shrimp and minnows which works well. I am not sure about water because I am a little worried about how the coating on these might react with it. It may be perfectly fine, but I would need to test it for some time before I felt comfortable giving it to a pet. These have a somewhat tacky or sticky feeling to them even when they are freshly cleaned- while that might be nothing, it could also mean that the coating could soften and start breaking down in water and that’s worrying. I plan on soaking one of these for a couple days and seeing if there is any change, but even then I might just stick to dried foods to be safe.The tongs that come with these are really cute and a nice size. They look a little toy-like but they do work well for things that need to be picked up carefully, including the freeze dried foods I often use since those crumble easily. Being short handled, these are also easy to use in the terrarium and can be maneuvered around easily. I would personally not try to use these like feeding tongs but for very small or baby animals it could be an option if you feel like you need more control but find full sized tongs intimidating.Overall these do look very nice and will work well for feeding dishes, I would just be a little cautious about the coating and use your own judgement as to whether or not they feel suitable for holding water. Another reason I am hesitant to use these for water, is that the rounder dish has a very steep drop off, almost straight down from the edges into the bottom of the bowl and has no sloping effect- meaning some small critters will have a difficult time getting out of it if they aren’t able to grip the sides well. Some of my larger millipedes are fine, but I don’t think my smaller ones would be able to get out on their own without having something else to climb onto. Something to keep in mind!
