Great Hammy Sand
My Syrian hamster loves this stuff! He digs in it for a while, and he also uses it as a litter box. Doesn’t kick up a lot of dust. This sand is super-fine, and a little goes a long way. I use a wire scoop every day to clean the sand, and it gets replaced every week when I clean the cage (a glass aquarium). The sandbox I use is made of acrylic (by Niteangel), so it’s easy to empty the sand into the trash & clean the container. Pricey, but this sand really lasts.

I love this product! My dwarf hamster, Pip, enjoys rolling and bathing in this sand. I recommend buying the sand scoop (also Niteangel) along with this for easy cleaning. If Pip ever pees in the sand, it clumps up to make it easy to see. The inner bag (not the outer one, so it didn’t leak) did have a hole in it when it arrived, so just be careful of that.

Quando l’ho messa la prima volta è impazzita e ha iniziato a scavarci come non ha mai fatto con le altre sabbie, ci ha addirittura fatto il nido (che poi le ho spostato). Ho provato sia questa che quella della nightangel classica ma preferisco questa perché al mio criceto piace di più. Per quanto riguarda odori non percepisco differenze fra questa e l’altra ma questa si compatta molto bene quando è umida (come anche l’altra) quindi è semplicissima da pulire.

Edit 13 Feb 2022:The odour control isn’t really good as I thought it was, the smell lingers after sifting through the sand.My hamster loves it. I’ve used the other grey sand but due to some supply issues I had to switch to the Niteangel brand and it’s wayyy wayyy better. Softer, tinier particles, clumps to pee better and even clumps to poop! Best of all is that it absorbs the pee smell perfectly.One 6lb bag fills up one Niteangel circular sand bath just right. My lil guy practically lives in this sand now.
