Using as a preventative
My two senior dogs are both fifteen, and I worry about them, as any dog mom would. Between the two of them, they do pretty well considering. I really wanted something to help ease any old age ailments that may come up.I decided to add Licorice Root, along with Dandelion Root and Turmeric, to their breakfast routine. They have been getting along great. I never really had too much faith in herbal remedies, but I actually see them moving better and not being out of breath as much. I don’t know which herb that can be attributed to since I mix them, but I think the licorice root is helping support their lungs. Even if it is in a small way, it is worth is.I would recommend giving this licorice root as part of your routine with your dogs, especially seniors and those with respiratory issues. Bring it up with your vet and see what they think. It’s not a substitute for a vet.

Respiratory drops
Licorice Root is a good choice when you want to help your snub nose pups with their breathing. And this has proven to not give a funny smell or have a taste that sends our pups running.Other breeds can also benefit from this as well. The side has a dosing chart and cute cartoons of the different breeds there our out there. Everything seems to be all natural! This is great for all aspects of our furry ones health.

This is the second supplement that I have purchase for my pup from Forever Puppy. I purchased this licorice root extract to support her respiratory health. During the warmer months my dog tends to have some respiratory issues on and off, likely from various allergens. She experiences “collapsed trachea” episodes where she does reverse sneezing and these episodes can last up to a couple of minutes. It’s a bit unusual because she is a larger dog. I have had to administer allergy medication to her a few times as a result. I figured I would give this a try to see if it will help her. I have been putting it on her food, as directed, twice daily. She is 56 lbs so she gets 1.25mL. There are graduations on the dropper for easy measuring. She is usually a bit picky when it come to her food, but she doesn’t seem to notice that this, and her other Forever Puppy supplement, is even in there. It contains glycerin so I imagine that it probably has a sweet flavor which likely makes it more palatable for her. I am hoping this will help her but usually natural and herbal therapies take time to work and results are often subtle and are only noticed by the absence of symptoms as opposed to “feeling” differently. I am impressed with the quality of these products and I like that they are extracts as opposed to food-based supplements.
