Secure Connection for Peace of Mind: The waist belt and tether create a reliable link between parents and children with autism, ADHD, or special needs, preventing them from wandering off in hazardous or crowded settings and allowing caregivers to feel at ease.
Streamlined Supervision: More discrete and convenient than traditional safety harnesses, yet more reliable than wrist leashes, this solution allows families to enjoy outings and travel with ease, freeing up their hands for a more relaxed and independent experience.
Versatile Connection: The tether can be used in three ways: attached to the adult’s and children’ s waist for both hands-free security, detached and held by the adult for better control, or grasped by the child for a sense of independence, allowing families to customize the level of freedom and safeguarding during outings.
Customizable Mobility: The adjustable tether, ranging from 3 to 6 feet, can be attached to the parent’s and children’s belt, enabling parents to customize the amount of space and freedom given to their child.
Thoughtful Design: We have reinforced all the hardware for added security. The detachable soft cover on the circular handle prevents scratching in emergency situations.

Amazing device to keep your child safe and secure while allowing limited independence.
I love this product.I used it this weekend for the first time when at a very crowded fair for my toddler.I know some find these devices taboo but they help keep little ones safe. Even when holding hands or using a wagon your child can dart off in a very busy crowd in only a second or unfortunately some people will and can grab a small child in these busy environments so it adds an extra layer of safety. This specific device uses a wide strap with very strong material. It is good quality. It is the same material used in automobile seat belts. The actual buckle is very strong and requires you press three buttons for release so little hands will have a very hard time getting it off.The metal rings are very firmly attached. It is easy to use and certainly will keep your child safe. The belts extend for a fairly large waist, the smaller of the two was too large however for my toddlers waist on its smallest setting so I simply made it a little longer and wrapped it around twice. It has a handle as well as a guardian belt.I used it not only to keep my toddler close while letting her feel as if she had some independence but also when she was in her wagon to keep her attached to it as she can and does unbuckle her wagon seat belts.People actually seemed to like it and I was even told it was such a great idea so it was very well recieved by the public. My toddler overall didn’t seem to mind it, she had a few moments of defiance as she realized she wasn’t 100% free to roam but she quickly got over it. I will absolutely use this item very often as we sometimes go to areas so crowded that you cannot see through them. This item is very fairly priced and worth every penny. It works better than the backpack designs because those can easily pull your child down or they can sometimes find a way to slip out of them. This device does not allow for any of those issues and is not uncomfortable for either the guardian or the child. The connector is able to be reduced in length or extended although it doesn’t extend too far.I 100% recommend getting this is you have a little one.

Indignity until it saves a life
I am reviewing: Secure Waist Leash Harness for Big Kids with Adjustable Tether and Handle, Hands Free Safety Walking Harness for Old Autism Special Needs ADHD, Child Elopement LeashI am using this for my loved one with dementia. After having him repeatedly try to walk into the street while I desperately phoned the driver after an appointment, I knew that it was time to do something about it. I never thought I would tether my adult loved one, but it could save his life. The tether is very well designed and is made of nice looking and durable materials. The mesh is upscale, the hardware is solid, heavy metal with a bright stainless finish. The buckles are heavy plastic material, and both have a double release, so that young and cognitively impaired persons will have trouble opening the buckle. The leish clip is a point of failure, but at least the one on the patient’s end pulls tightly on two rings, so it should at least slow them down. The hand hold is extra nice, and can be used with or without the hook and loop padded cover. Perfect for keeping them close to your side. This isn’t going to be something I use very often, but it will be there when I need it.

Nice
Very easy to use, itâs a nice added layer of security to have for when you need to have your hands a little free while youâre kiddo is with you. I use a walker (mobility aid) and this was such a good addition to how secure I felt with my little nephew with me. He could walk fairly independently, but also had the handle at my waist to hold on to. Which seemed to give him security as well. This is a nice addition to any outing with kids

Love this waist leash but 1 improvement would make it more secure
The size is perfect. The adult one fits around my waist with room to spare, and as a round 180+ lbs at 5 ft 3 in, I think that’s a feature worth mentioning. This item was NEEDED for child safety. My son is an elopement, and carting his 63-lb stroller wagon with the 5-point harness is not always possible and practical.GREAT value for the money, especially when needing to keep up with someone who tries to run into traffic, crowds, etc. and has no cognitive sense of dange. Sturdy and wide straps.I took off 1 star because I had to make a modification. The little clip from the strap to my son is going to be easily undine if he rotates the clip to his hip or belly, and that’s dangerous. So I added a twist-locking carabiner so there is no way he can get both that AND the special security clip around his waist open without giving me the seconds needed to intervene. If the design were changed to a twist-locking caribiner, this waist leash would deserve 10 stars! Also, this feels more equitable than other harnesses because we’re both attached at the waist so it doesn’t give that “walking an animal” vibe.
