Works well, but it is larger than I expected
For some reason i expected this to be smaller, even though it lists the dimensions and capacity in the listing. It is pretty hefty, and feels like it would hold about a year’s water supply for our little kitten. She’s just barely tall enough to comfortably drink out of it. She is tall enough to play with the running water; I would recommend seating it on a towel or other protective surface to control the splash when your cat inevitably paws at the fountain. I can’t actually tell if she has been drinking out of it, only that she has been doing *something* with it.The motion sensing definitely works, even though the sensor is completely invisible, so I can’t tell at what point in its field of view it is activated, as there is a slight delay. We ended up seating it sideways to prevent it from going off whenever someone walked past. It also adds to the play interest for cats, if you’re trying to encourage that sort of thing.The pump is very, very quiet, I can hardly tell when it turns on. All the electronics are contained to the small “tower” that is inserted into the top of the enclosure, making it easy to wash the remaining parts, and remove the pump to charge separately if you aren’t near a power source. There are filters included, though I can’t tell how effective they are on contaminants. They have kept the system free from debris so far, and the kit comes with specialized cleaning tools, including tweezers and a bristle cleaner for the pump.The reservoir is pretty well protected, and it would take some effort to contaminate it with debris. Between that and the filters, you should have no problem leaving your little one on their own for a few weeks.

A good water source for pets
I love how deep the tank is on this water fountain. The last one I had needed to be filled at least once if not twice a day because my pets would go through it, but this one is deep enough, I can fill it every other day, and the filter and spout keep it from getting stagnant.I did notice that the stainless steel plate started to tarnish early on, it looks like there were orange rust spots starting to form on it (and I tried cleaning them off; they’re not food particles.) Also for some reason, the alarm on it keeps beeping saying it’s low charge, but even after plugging it in all day, it will still beep at me. I looked through the instruction manual, and I can’t figure out why it’s still beeping.

Large capacity and quiet
The CrazyDeer 4L Wireless Cat Water Fountain with Stainless Steel Top is ideal for my needs. I very much appreciate the large capacity of this water dispenser. For those with a small dog or cat, the water can last up to a week between changes, and because it has a nice filtering system the water stays clean for the pet.The best features I like about this water fountain/dispenser is that it is quiet, and the wireless function allows placement of water dispenser at any location in the home. The battery does last a good long while when using the sensor or intermittent modes. I clean it on a weekly basis, so I also recharge it after cleaning to ensure it always has a charge.I wasn’t sure I was going to like the look of a plastic container, but with the stainless-steel top, it actually does not look that bad. The instruction booklet is clear and easy to understand for setting up and learning the functions. The product comes with everything needed to set it up and I appreciate that it comes with extra filters. Overall, I am pleased with this water fountain/dispenser and recommend it for use with a cat or small dog.

Good, but Missing some Features
I have 15 cats who help me review cat fountains. This one is a mixed bag:Pros:-Large capacity.-Stainless steel water tray.-Super quiet.-Runs on a battery.-Reasonably priced.Cons:-No way to tell at a glance what the water level is.-In sensor mode all of the time. I haven’t found a way to set the fountain to timer mode. Mysteriously, however, it doesn’t turn on every time I walk past it.Considering the low price and high quality, I’m putting more effort into testing this, hoping I can make it work for our needs.Recommended with reservation.
