Great for small planter boxes, affordable option!
I wanted something to use in my built in brick planter at my front door. I bought two metal blue and copper colored agave sculptures for that space, and got tired of pulling weeds out of the planter box. These black gravel look amazing with the copper agave plants at my front door. So sleek and modern!

Terrarium base
Used as the base for a Star Wars terrarium. Works very well for drainage. No issues with color-loss after draining.

Good for the price, but not perfect.
These are good enough for me, but there are a lot of chipped rocks that have grey, orange, and other colored spots showing through/under the paint. I’m assuming the orange is from another batch of rocks that were painted over in black or something. The really bad onces were easy enough to pick out when I washed the gravel,.but just beware. Also, lots of very fine pebbles are mixed in, so if you use a bottom filter or are worried your fish will think they’re food, you’ll definitely want to sieve the small pebbles out before adding this to your tank.

Might need another bag for 10 gallon
Amazing color makes everything stand out I think it was enough for my 10 gallon but I still added a bit more to make it seem fuller

Beautiful
I bought the solid black for a smaller tank. When my 7 year old goldfish got BIG I got them a 55g aquarium. I didnât want solid black in such a larger area so I mixed it with black and neon gravel as seen in the photos. The black has remained solid black, it hasnât lost any color. Very good quality gravel.

Nonetheless a quality product. I used it in a flower pot to fill out the gaps.

This is terrible quality black dyed gravel. It breaks apart very easily and crumbles into tiny pieces and despite rinsing it, my fish started dying a while after placing it in their tank. After removing them 3 out of five died and suffered in the process. Totally toxic and unsafe.

Theyâre the perfect size and much darker and more natural looking than a bag Iâd purchased from my local fish store.
