Customers say
Customers find the water dispenser works well for various reptiles and small animals, particularly geckos and hermit crabs, and appreciate its build quality and ease of cleaning. The size receives mixed feedback – while it’s right for leopard geckos, some find it too small for larger terrariums, and water retention is also mixed, with some reporting it lasts for days with lizards while others say it barely refills.

Small size dish.
Works as it should. Nice back up for going out of town. It is a small dish so if you reptile needs to soak this wonât work for anything of size by itâs self.

Helpful!
Very helpful when I have to leave for more than a day. Finally my gecko always have water ready. I clean it once in a while or when I see it dirty.

Good buy
I actually bought this to see if i could use this to water my teranchula. The water settles a bit to far down in the bowl for her but this is a great buy for reptiles or maybe even smaller pets like mice or ferrets. Easy to clean and good price. Even though I couldn’t use it for what i needed it for a gave it to a fellow reptile lover and it is working great for his leopard geckos.

Perfect, sanitary water bowl for snake
I purchased this bowl because I was going out of town and wanted to make sure my snake had enough water to last the week. He had more than enough water. I find this water bowl doesnât get slimy like other bowls Iâve used. Itâs very easy to clean and stays fairly clean itself. I would say this is ideal for a smaller snake (young corn snakes, male hognoses, etc) and any snake that doesnât like to soak. Also way less expensive on Amazon than the same product offered in chain pet stores.

Inexpensive but I had to modify to make it work.
Iâm going out of town for a week, leaving my leopard gecko to fend for herself. Sheâs full grown, so sheâs okay food-wise, but sheâll need water. I bought this thinking that it would fill itself. It did not. Much like other reviews I had to tip it up to make it refill. Well, that wonât work for me. So I drilled a small hole where the water dispenses and now it works perfectly. Also I left the cricket guard off because I watch my gecko while she eats, so no worries about them crawling in there. So⦠I would say itâs worth the six bucks I paid, but if want it to do what it advertises, take a drill to it. If you go this route make sure you mark where you will drill the hole while the dispenser is assembled, so that it lines up when you put it back together. I hope this review helps. Disclaimer: Iâm not responsible if you break your water dispenser.

Great waterer for small furry pets.
I bought this for my cat as he hardly drank from his bulky, 3-liter waterer, which provides water for weeks! I guess the water gets stale and he likes it fresh, so I still had to place an additional bowl with fresh water that I change every other day. This waterer is a nice color, and the bottle screws on which makes it easy to refill and set up. There is a plastic mesh/strainer in the bowl, just between the mouth of the bottle and the actual bowl, to control the “flow,” I think. It’s a nice size for small cats and dogs, doesn’t tip over easily, and it doesn’t take up any space either. However, my cat still prefers his fresh bowl of water, and only drinks from this waterer on occasion. Oh well, at least he won’t run out, if I forget to refill his regular bowl!Update, 7/4/08: The hole for the water to flow from the bottle to the dish is small and lower than the dish itself. Hence, it only automatically refills the dish when the water level is very low, and remains low (around 1/3 of the height of the dish) when refilled. I’d then have to tip the bottle forward a little to properly refill the dish to the rim. It’s not a big deal, but if you’re planning to be away for a few days without a pet sitter to check in on your pets, I’d recommend getting a larger/different waterer.

I purchased this product when I planned to leave for an over-a-week trip. I saw some reviews said the water got blocked and decided to give it a try since I’ve always trusted Fluker.I tested it a couple of times after receiving see if the water can flow out properly, I also adjusted the small chip to see how well it controls the flow, everything worked so well, then I put it into my bearded dragon’s terrarium. After I returned from my trip, I was so happy to find the bowel wasn’t dried out and the water stays perfect, like 100% perfect without question. Now I’ve been using this product for about 3 months (since last Dec), I really like it and highly recommend it! The only small thing that I think it can improve is changing the top spherical part to a flat surface so I don’t have to always hold it before putting it into the terrarium!

Works great, not too big so it fits in both my tanks. it’s lightweight, so I don’t know if I’d put it with a beardie or something but seems good enough for a leopard gecko won’t be able to knock down. The stick on the bottle isn’t stuck on and easily slid off.
