Customers say
Customers find this freeze-dried dog food nutritious, with high protein content and no questionable ingredients, and one customer mentions their dog eats it as a snack treat. The product receives mixed feedback about its appearance, with some noting prettier coats while others say it looks different from expected, and customers disagree on the size, with some finding it appropriate for small dogs while others consider the bag too small. The texture is problematic as the food arrives in crumbled pieces, and while some enjoy the smell, others find it gross. Additionally, some customers report their dogs experienced diarrhea after consuming it.

Premium Pork Dog Food
I have a three year old lab mix, and a seven month old Rottweiler. Their coats are thick and beautiful, and they have lots of energy. Ultimate Pet Nutrition is outstanding for their health and well being. No, it’s not cheap, but I want my dogs to have the longest, healthiest lives I can possibly give them. When it comes to nutrition, the old adage applies: ‘Pay now, or pay (a lot) later’. Veterinary bills can be very expensive, and if I feed my dogs commercial dog food, they are much more prone to sickness and allergy conditions, so I choose to feed them only top quality food.

Really High Quality Food!
Really a high quality food! Itâs a freeze dried raw food. I wish I could afford to feed him this all the time and not just as a topper. I put 1/2 C on top of the kibble for a bit of added nutrition. I had him on Sundays which was okay but the largest bag was 72 oz and didnât last a month. Cost of one bag.. $200.00. I expect to pay more for top quality food but that is ridiculous. I have 2 cats to feed as well! I do the Open Door Farm dog food and the Nutra Complete and itâs $160/ month.I have a Golden Retriever that has a really good appetite and it shows so he gets 2 cups of it kibble and a cup of the Nutra Complete as a topper per day. He has more energy and his coat and eyes look great!â

This is a good and healthy product
Our German Shepherd is very particular about what she eats. I bought this product, and she ate the entire bowl. She sees me pull out the bag of food and prepare it and she’s right next to me waiting for her meal. Her dog dish hits the floor and she’s all over it. I’ll keep buying this product as long as it makes my dog happy!

Yorkie seems to love
This is first time I have ever tried freeze dried raw dog foodI would give a five star, but Iâve only been using less than a month so far my Yorky loves it. She is more excited about eating than she has ever been and sheâs eight years old. She eats every bit and licks the bowl completely clean no crumbs so far itâs working for me And for herWhile we are waiting for the water to activate the food dry food, she sits and watches the counter and whines and sometimes dances around because she can smell it and she wants it then she doesnât want to wait a minute. So far I recommend maybe Iâll check back later and let you know if she continues on this. Iâm happy to eat this food journey.

Finally!! Five years to find a dog food heâll eat!
Iâve tried expensive shipped âreal food, basted and baked, several âhealthierâ (meaning very expensive!) dog food brands, even made my own dog food, but my dog only eats to live. Some days he will flat out refuse to eat. Heâs only 8 pounds and heâs super active. (Iâve had to learn to throw with my left arm because this dog does lives to catch a ball and my right arm wears out before he ever does!) Which means he burns calories like crazy. Iâve had to keep him on puppy food for extra calories!Nutra Complete Freeze Dried Raw Food was my last stand, I hated the idea of spending this much money on one pound net weightâ¦but! He loves this. Iâm floored. These light brown nuggets are a little smaller than a cube of cheese, some will crush with pressure, but seem to take on a more spongy consistency, similar to a packing peanut, after being opened for several daysâitâs humid here.Definitely not a hard, brittle, or crunchy texture. So nice because I didn’t recieve a half a bag of crushed pellets and dust in the mail. The only thing my dog will eat and eat, is freeze dried liver. If it was healthy enough for him to live on alone, that would be great, but by itself, there isnât a proper balance of nutrition, so no go. But when he wonât eat for 2 days straight, walking over to his bowl, sniffing and walking away, there were times I considered giving him a bowl of freeze dried liver just for calorieâs sake!!Never seen anything like it! This dog just doesnât like to eat food with the exception of pepperoni and croissants. And like that is anything on the healthy side. Even I donât eat that but every few months or so.Iâve made him ground beef, ground chicken, ground turkey/-with rice and organic vegetables, and after the first feeding, he wonât eat it unless I sprinkle it with grated cheese, just a pinch and then, nope. Heâs killing me Smalls!!He doesnât like dog food of any kind and only breaks down and eats it when he realizes Iâm not going to give in. Until now. And while this is liver too, it contains another organ meat, kelp, and various orange and green vegetables, plus blueberries which I have a hard time getting him to eat âthey contain a lot of phytonutrients and anti oxidants. I also like the addition of cranberries because of the d-mannose.Heâd eat a whole bowl of Nutra Complete dry if Iâd let him, but I like the idea of hydrating it because I put extra water in the bowl. After he eats the food, he drinks all the water, which is great because this dog is half horse. (Or camel!) I worry about him eating and drinking. Especially after weâve played outside in the Florida heat! And yes, Iâve literally walked the water bowl over to him in his chair just so heâll drink. My grandkids cause me less worry!! And yes, sadly, I am well trained. ð©Unless I find legitimate information contradicting the health benefits of this particular brand, Iâll be budgeting for this regularly. Weâll see how long a 1# bag lastsâ¦probably wonât be any more expensive than bag after bag of food he refuses to eat.I keep some in his treat jar and he eats them with gusto.Omgoodness! He heard me handling the bag when I made sure my info was right and he came running in from outsideâhow can you resist that face, dirty as it is?! When heâs on his back legs like that, heâs waving his paws up and down begging. Little runt! Stuck his head right in the bag when I wanted to take a picture of the nuggets! Too funny!Yep, itâs a keeper. So easy, I dump it into Luke warm water, let it sit, then he comes right over and eats it, all the left over water too.(And his poop didnât go ballistic changing over either, not surprising since he has never had the same dog food for any extended period of time.)So this poor, old, lady is more than happy to pay for quality nutrition that isnât going to cause joint pain and inflammation, contain known carcinogens or dyes, and that my dog will actually eat! This stuff is going to pay for itself in restoring my mental healthâwho would have ever thunk it? A dog that doesnât like to eat?! Cute little bugger breaking all kinds of norms! Ha ha! Thatâs my fur baby!

Great food
My 2 Shih Tzus like it. That’s what counts. Good ingredients and it is not messy.

Quality seems to vary
My very small senior dog (5 pound Chihuahua mix) is very picky about food. I constantly am on the hunt for something she will eat for more than a couple of weeks. I found this food on Amazon this week and ordered the 5-ounce package of chicken flavor. She absolutely loved it. In fact I donât know how I could keep her to the three-quarter cup per day that sheâs supposed to eat. But being very small with a very small mouth, jaw and teeth she had trouble chewing the cubes as they come even though theyâre spongy. So I cut them in half, which wasnât a big deal to do, and she was fine. She gobbled them down. Since she seems to like it so much, I ordered the 1-pound bag which arrived today. I didnât want to jump right to the 3-pound because who knows, she could change her mind in a few days and not like it anymore and itâs VERY expensive. The 1-pound bag arrived today and I poured some of it out so I could cut the cubes in half and found the quality varies widely. Many or most of the cubes in the 1 pound bag are smaller and darker in color and harder than the fluffy ones in the 5-ounce bag and theyâre hard to cut in half because they shatter into crumbs. Apparently theyâre over dried. So right now Iâm kind of on the fence whether Iâm going to continue buying this product. Iâll go through the 1-pound bag and see if the whole bag is like that in which case I will not buy it anymore. Maybe just some of the ones that happened to be on the top of the bag that I started today are over dried ? Anyway, Iâll update this when I have a little more experience with the product.
