Python Approved!!!
I ended up getting two of these for my snake’s enclosure. They’re super realistic looking, perfect size for a growing python and they incorporate well with jungle themed decor. Would definitely recommend!!

My very sweet snake loves curling up in here!
My sizable corn snake has other places in his ample terrarium where he can do what all snakes absolutely crave doing: hide. Despite the awful stereotypes of snakes chasing people (no matter who you are, you almost certainly move faster than any snake; and they tire soon, besides, since they have only have room for one usable lung). So snakes as a group are the most timid critters youâre likely to find. Really.Snakes have so few defenses to fall back on – no arms or legs or claws or even teeth of any serious size – even the 10% of snake species in the world who use venom for hunting and self-defense would much rather slip away and hide than get into a contest with a human. They know quite well that theyâre highly likely to lose. And even an injury in that encounter would usually mean death. They canât afford to be stupid about these matters. So all snakes are connoisseurs of good hiding places. Any captive snake needs at least one reliable place to retreat for security and privacy. Just as their wild relatives always know at least a few good ones nearby.I wasnât sure my very friendly snake needed another hideaway, but it turns out he loves this one! The doorway is wide enough that he can peek out from various angles but small enough for him to feel hidden. The shelter stays put quite well on the thick terry towels (so easily washable!) that I use as his substrate.Okay, the color looks pretty phony, but it wasnât really going to look like a rock, was it? And the overall interior size seems a perfect fit for his chunky 4-foot-long flexible body to curl up in. He can be seen using it in every imaginable configuration of himself, completely or partly inside; but a favorite fully interior position involves some plump middle section of him right across the door, preserving his privacy from nosy humans, while he rests his chin on himself to watch anything interesting outside and to sniff its scent with his tongue.I avoid using strong cleaners on the shelter as it has needed little upkeep and I doubt the color would hold up well. And by his ultra-sensitive sniffing standards, any strong odors would linger nearly forever. Warm running water and a soft brush seem fine. Unscented soap would be as far as Iâd go.So I donât hesitate to recommend this hideaway for any occupants whose size would be a good match. I would think it fine for terrestrial turtles or tortoises of the right size, but I wouldnât consider it suitable in an aquarium where even part of it would be submerged. I donât think the paints on the resin could be trusted to last in water, and they canât be assumed safe for any animal in that water.

Nice size, but not for Fish
so I was pretty excited about this because I have very large 10â+ cichlids (oscar, flowerhorn, vieja, very very large Blood Parrots, Red Devil, etc) and medium cichlids (geophagus, jack dempseys) that constantly need more hiding spots otherwise the aggression gets intense and next thing half are lip locked with fish jumping in on each side. Lol Cichlids stay fighting!! especially the convicts and polar parrots during breeding season.. which is florida is march-november. Some of the alpha convict male fish get pretty big and they are NOT afraid to stand up to my 14â oscar. aggression during breeding season is no joke.. like donât be surprised if you find one of your larger male convicts dead because they were fighting over territory or a female.Anyway, This was a good contender until I realized if floats. Itâs big enough to keep the usual enormous hideaway hogs out and gives the JDs and Geos a chance to claim a hideaway, but Iâd rather not weigh it down because thatâs just a pain in the butt, plus cichlids do their own rearranging bc they bougie like that. Iâll just return it for the usual log they love. I have 3 already and they (All size fish) are constantly fighting over them! If a big guy is in there, he will usually share with a friend or some of the much smaller convicts. They are called Aqua L0g F*$h Sh3Iter. That is the absolute ONLY hideaway I have found big enough for full-grown very very large 10â+ cichlids.. and Iâve gone through everything Amazon has to offer for under $50. Actually, I couldnât even find anything over $50 except some $99 life size 3â tall realistic log which is a bit too big. BTW I wrote its name that way bc I think they donât allow name dropping of better brands in their comments. Most of these hides on here are big enough for smaller to medium cichlids, but this one in this listing is one of the few that can accommodate pretty big cichlids, but not all of them. I would say african cichlids would enjoy this best bc their bodied arenât usually as bulbous or high bodies as SA so they can actually fit. This can accommodate any *normal* size fish ð IF YOU DONT MIND WEIGHTING IT DOWN. I canât speak for all models that look exactly like this one (although in my experience, if they look identical, that means they are the exact same thing just sold by different people), But this would NOT sink. Granted I did not give it time to absorb any water considering it is resin or plastic⦠Nothing particularly permeable that would hold water enough to weigh it down. So I quickly return this.this is probably best For reptiles and amphibians like itâs sold.

AWESOME
I got this to add to my hermit crab enclosure. It’s very sturdy & durable. The openings are the perfect sizes for my crabs to go through. The design is great with the little side tunnel. They’ll enjoy this for a long time. My 3 crabs range from medium to large shells.

Great for Uromastyx
I was searching for a hide perfect for my Uromastyx dragon. As soon as I put this in his enclosure he was on top of it basking and under it sleeping at night. Itâs perfect size, very large, but keeps my lizard feeling safe and comfy. Itâs well worth the money. Love it!

Nice reptile hide
My corn snake has been quite happy with this new piece of furniture for his enclosure, and has actually been spending most of his time in it. Appearance is moderately convincing for a birch tree log.
