A one thousand count bulk of mealworms can be kept in a large plastic container, with air holes in the top. You should cover the mealworms with a thick layer of wheat middling, oatmeal, or Fluker’s mealworm bedding to provide bedding and a food source.

Soldier Fly Larvae – (Hermetia illucens)

Soldier Worms, the live larvae of the black soldier fly (Hermetia illucens), are a naturally nutritious, protein-packed, calcium-rich treat for your pet. Their balanced Calcium to Phosphorus ratio is ideal for reptiles (without the need for dusting), and can help prevent Metabolic Bone Disease.

Best mealworms I have ever bought
I had some trepidation about ordering in winter but we had a warm spell when I thought they would be safe and they were. They arrived on time packaged in a convenient cylindrical container (I ordered 1000) with a piece of paper egg carton (probably damp for a little moisture). The worms were large and as far as I could tell every one was alive and in good shape. They were also very clean and free from dirt and debris. If I need more mealworms sometime I will definitely order them from these folks again.

    Value & viability
I just received my first order from this seller. I was happy to see that they all looked healthy and alive. The packaging was great. It was easy to open & remove the worms into their worm box. My dragon was delighted to munch on a few. Very pleased with this seller. Recommend them highly.

The package arrived an hour before I made it home once I arrived home, collected the package only to find everything inside of it was dead. A lot of it had, started to turn into a crispy mess of skins.

    Bluebirds treats
These are the best mealworms I have bought anywhere and I live in Colorado and treat the mountain bluebirds who love their treats morning and evening. I let them be birds and hunt daytime hours. I have bought mealworms many places local and by mail orders. Well these are the healthiest BEST lively mealworms ANYWHERE! Arrived fast! They live well! Feed them oatmeal and carrots upon arrival, then store in frig in egg cartridges to protect them from freezing, they just go dormant. Then weekly feeding again. Live long stay healthy. This is now my favorite GO- TO place for my birds worms! Thank you to the owners! Great care!! 🐦 ❤️

    Not consistent
First order was great. I’d been ordering from another company for over a year but decided to give these guys a try bc it was slightly cheaper. First order I was impressed with packaging and worms. The second order was packed like crickets, smaller, and not as many. I may give them another go because the difference in order 1 & 2 were so inconsistent maybe it was just a new employee.
