About Omega One

In 1998 in Sitka, Alaska, two brothers invented and patented the process of making fish foods directly from wild-caught, fresh Alaskan seafood. Omega One LLC, the company, was founded, and Omega One, the brand, was introduced. This revolutionary concept broke the mold in a 40-year industry, providing hobbyists with a brand of unsurpassed quality and nutrition. Unlike other fish foods on the market, you will see that there is no fishmeal in our foods. Instead, we use Alaskan seafood such as salmon, herring, and shrimp for our protein sources. These ingredients, rich in natural fats and proteins, are purchased direct from sustainable Alaskan fisheries.

THE INGREDIENTS MATTER

Omega One increases fish immunity. It is made directly from superfoods like salmon and herring, which are loaded with Omega 3 & 6 fatty acids. These essential fatty acids provide energy and strengthen the delicate fish immune system, leading to decreased rates of disease and mortality.

MEAL-FREE NUTRITION

Omega One fish foods are meal-free and made from the freshest cold-water proteins. When you start with raw, unprocessed proteins like we do and cook them just once, they naturally bind together creating an impenetrable bond, leaving your aquarium cleaner.

NATURAL COLOR ENHANCEMENT

Our ingredients contain a high level of naturally occurring pigments called beta-carotenes. With nearly a 100% transfer rate to the skin of ornamental fish, these beta-carotenes will restore the true colors of your fish, making them as vibrant as they are healthy.

Freshwater Flakes

Delicious recipe of fresh, cold water seafood blended specifically to enhance the levels of Omega 6 fatty acids. Omega 6 fatty acids are extremely valuable to freshwater species for strong immune systems and cell wall development. Low ash and higher quality proteins mean less pollution in the tank.

Super Color Cichlid Pellets – Floating

Small, medium, and large pellets for all types and sizes of cichlids. Offer superb color enhancement, with unsurpassed nutrition and palatability.

Garlic Marine Flakes

A nutritious mix of seafood ingredients is combined with the optimal amount of spirulina to make this an excellent diet for the community saltwater tank. A strong Omega 3 Fatty Acid profile supports the delicate immune systems of saltwater fish while garlic provides incredible palatability and parasite resistance.

Goldfish Flakes

Omega One Goldfish Flakes are formulated with higher levels of quality proteins and fats than other goldfish foods. This recipe contains a strong Omega Fatty Acid profile, which has been shown to be beneficial for growth and long-term health. Fresh ocean kelp provides critical nutrients and aids in digestion.

Extremely high-quality product from a company that makes nothing but!
First off, Omega One is the best domestic “fish food” producer … The top company in the USA, easily. All Omega One does is produce excellent, high-quality, highly-nutritious, diverse, and wholesome fish foods (among some other aquatics products they make.) I rely on many of the Omega One products as part of my different fishes’ different diets and they’re all amazing. Now as to this specifically, the freeze-dried bloodworms … Outstanding! I am a person who focuses on goldfish, and that’s my main aquarium and passion. Now goldfish require less protein than tropical fish, so bloodworms are not a “main component” of their diet … at least you shouldn’t … but they’re great as a once-in-a-while treat … They make an extremely “delicious”, high-protein ‘snack’ that my goldfish go nuts for … And my tropicals… (Tiger Barbs woohoo!) — they go NUTS for these things, feeding-frenzy-style! Omega One is highly, highly recommend. I myself currently use MULTIPLE Omega One products… Their Goldfish Pellets, Veggie Rounds (for my Rubberlip & Bristlenose plecos, plus the goldfish eat these just the same…), Super Color Flakes (for my Tiger Barbs), Super Color Pellets (for the Tiger Barbs), Freeze-Dried Shrimp (for both as a snack, and these are amazing – you can still see the eyes and feet and face of the little shrimps!!!) and the aforementioned Freeze-Dried Bloodworms. Highly highly recommended.

    Fish love it
These treats are great, fish love them. Don’t make it their only food, but is a good afternoon snack for them. I only have fancy guppies and shrimps.

    Good
They are good and fish love them but don’t use these in small tanks as it really pollutes the water.

    QUALITY
These are worms, full worms. Not cut up 1/8 inch pieces that are pulverized to dust in the last 1/4-1/3 of bottle. What a waste! Worm dust just clogs my filter up. Very little dust waste in bottom of Omega One bottle because they are left full worms. It also gives me the option to feed full worms to my 12” Dojo Loaches while using my fingers to slightly break up and offer smaller bites for my smaller fish. Perfect!I didn’t give any stars for flavor because I haven’t personally tried these worms. My Slimey’s react like I’ve released live prey though. Perfect!I got tired of my fish picking at flake food because it’s all they had. For the last 9 months this is all I’ve fed my Slimey’s as a floating food. I’m enjoying the more enthusiastic feedings and everyone is healthy.Last month I had a small concern that I contacted Omega One about. You’d think this food was consumed by humans it was taken so seriously. I was even asked for my address to send a replacement. I wasn’t out money or product and refused the replacement. Bad voodoo in punishing/taking advantage of a good company that takes their quality for Slimey’s so seriously!Thanx Omega One for caring for my Slimey’s. Silly but I love them, members of our pack!

Great food that can be ground into powder for fry
This is great food. The fish love it. I will be buying it again, and probably in a larger container. The adult fish gobble it up, but what I like best about this is that you can rub it into powder with your fingers very quickly, and then feed it to even the tiniest, youngest fry.One problem, though: This food makes me sneeze. Even when I wash my hands after I feed the fish with it. I definitely do NOT rub my eyes or touch my face after I use it – learned that the hard way. I have observed what I did very carefully over a dozen times and it is definitely this food that makes my nose and eyes swell up. The eyes aren’t too bad, and though it makes me sneeze, that passes in about 20 minutes. Other than it, its a great, affordable food. The ingredients list is nice and short: “Blood worms, Vitamin E supplement” and that’s it. The analysis has the food with 55% crude protein, 3% crude fat, 5% crude fiber and 5% max moisture.

Got this for my female betta fish. Little on the pricey side, but they go so crazy for these bloodworms that they’re jumping over each other. Worth it.

Well, the freeze dried bloodworms I had in the past smelled way better than this new one( they are from the same brand tho). However my fishes still go crazy over them so it’s okay. And they could’ve just use a smaller container for this .96oz since it is not a full bottle 🙂 thought there’ll be more than what’s shown in the photo.Umm and wish the quality is better, there’s hard- dark stuff inside I guess they are a part of the bloodworms’ body or Smth.

I thought the fish food was very yummy, only complaint is I’m a big guy and the portions are very small for me… I don’t know if my fish like them because they have yet not told me so I can only give you my personal experience with this product. Goes good with a bit of salt…
