Hands down the best filters
Functions like a dream. The price cannot be beat. Easy to simply squeeze out to clean. Nice, dark black appearance. We enjoy the bubble sounds.

Works great
I have this In my 55 gallon community tank. When I first set up my tank I added this in while adding substrate and water and if you have a planted tank you know what a pain it is to add substrate and how it clouds the water if youâre not careful etc but this cleared it within maybe a couple hours. It does really well and Itâs perfect for my smaller fish especially. Great product especially for the price.

No lift tube?
The concept of this filter is a good one and it keeps my 50 gallon tank clean while being gentle enough not to grind up molly fry. Having said that, there was no lift tube (clear plastic tube) in the box. That’s not a huge deal as I crammed a piece of tubing I already had on hand in the top. I would’ve given this filter five stars if the tube was in the box. Other than that,this is a really good sponge filter.
