Seems like a really small amount
I think supplements are so overpriced already that when I got this and was trying it on my horses I thought that it looked a little bit light for what they say it should be. They say the scoop is 1 oz And you should be able to feed them 2 to 3 a day. For the price, you get less than 2 weeks worth. That is hard to swallow.Just started my mare on it. I hope 2 weeks is enough to do the trick. The fish oil smell is pretty strong so picky horses may not eat it.

I have five horses and a mule. Only two of them actually need this product but I tried it with all of them just to see how many would eat it and how many would turn up their noses. All of them ate it which actually surprised me because the last time I spent a fortune on an actual allergy supplement from my vet and not one horse in my herd would eat it. I tried mixing it with tasty things that they liked and they wouldn’t touch it. I just tossed this top dressed on their dinner and everyone ate up. With supplements that is half the battle.My horse that this is intended for does have breathing issues. He gets breathing treatments with a nebulizer so I would be hard pressed to say how much this helps because he gets so many things I can’t contribute gains or losses to anyone part of his routine, but it has great ingredients that should be helpful in this battle.

Smells okay, horses seem to eat it fine.
As with all supplements it does take time for them to work. Since this was a small bag, I can’t give an honest review of how well it worked. The smell is overly sweet, but the horses don’t seem to mind eating it. We haven’t had anyone go off their grain when it’s been added to it. the consistency is like flour, so it sticks to their grain and there is little waste as long as they eat all their dinner.

Nice product. Mediocre packaging. Bad math on advertised quantity.
In order to test this on a horse, it’s important to use this for at least a month. So I was pleased to order this “30-40 day supply.” The instructions say to feed your horse 2-3 ounces per day. That means a 30-40 days supply for one horse is between 60 and 120 ounces (30*2=60 ounces to 40*3=120 ounces). Unfortunately this two pound bag is only 32 ounces. That means this is only a 10 to 16 day supply for one horse.As a horse owner, it’s important to calculate how much a supplement costs to feed per month or per season. At $75 for 4-6 weeks (as advertised) this is expensive but if it’s good quality it may be worth it. If it only lasts ten days, it is very overpriced.The heat sealed packaging was melted right above and into the zip lock, so the package was not able to be resealed as the zip lock was partially melted by the heat sealer. The powder is fairly moist or oily. It smells fresh.Because of the bad advertised math, I am docking one star from perfect. The manufacturer should take note of this and correct its advertisement since it is falsely stating how many days of supply they are selling. They should also do a better job at sealing the bags so these can be resealed.I hope you find the photos and the review helpful.

So far so good
Over the past few weeks, my daughters red roan has been steadily breathing harder. Out of concern, I ordered this omega boost. She’s very picky and needing some help getting her appetite stimulated in order to try it. A nice blend of this supplement with her daily food, should have her back to her normal breathing in no time. Now that I’ve used this brand once before and it was a true miracle worker for my roan. Now she’s nice and healthy and thats all that I want for her.Overall, I’m glad that i found something that will work and that this supplement is really great and nutritional for my horse. We blended it in with the original feed and she likes it. Because of her age, suffers with potential allergy so this powder supplement. It doesn’t smell bad at all. The plan is to give them to her in her feed about twice a week. I think these will help us outt will make a world of difference for her if she eats it the way that shes supposed to and so far she’s doing with our girl drastically. So far so good.

Nice product but very expensive for size
Over all the product seems fine good ingredients and good potential. However the quantity of product you receive for the price and the amount recommended (2-3 scoops) makes this about 7-10 days of product. Canât expect to see much results in that short of time. And for the cost I have to say there are better more affordable products around. Really canât give more review on the actual effects as I just canât afford to purchase more of this at this feeding rate

Good ingredients, they just won’t eat it
Here are my pros and cons:Pros:Pennwoods is a dependable brand, made in the US. I trust the quality of the product.The short list of ingredients includes EPA and DHA which have huge anti-inflammatory and antioxidative propertiesThe third ingredient is fish oil, which is a high quality oil (it has soybean oil listed 4th)The base consists of high quality, high protein, heat processed soybeansCons:You’re supposed to feed 2-3 oz per day. I tried 1 oz added to the normal feed of my horse with heaves and she would not eat it. She is the fattest thing because she eats just about everything! I added molasses and she still wouldn’t eat it. I’m afraid the fish oil, although great for the animal is hard to disguise.Conclusion:This contains great anti-inflammatory and antioxidant that would probably help with any inflammation if you can get your animal to eat it.

This Omega supplement is super easy to feed. It’s great for my picky eater who doesn’t like the oil type of supplement.
