Important verification of water temperature
My aquariums hold Sea Monkeys (R) and Giant Triops (tadpole shrimp). The main tank is freshwater. The thermometers helped me setup the hatching tanks and the main tank. Shrimp eggs hatch quicker when the water, light, and temperature is correct. Since the heaters don’t display the water temperature, the thermometers showed how quickly the temperature changed. One unit had a bad suction cup. A deformity kept it from sticking to the tank. Fortunately, a paperclip might work.Seventy-eight degrees is important for life. Make sure your plants and animals are comfortable, too.

Nice digital thermometers for the price
These digital thermometers are nice for the price paid. They are very compact and easy to read. The only thing I noticed is that it is one degree off, other than that, pretty good and useful for aquarium temperature monitoring.

Does the job well
It does what it needs to, and does it well! I have one on each of my three tanks. The suction cups aren’t the best, but they suck in general so I won’t take a star for that. Good long cord means I can mount the screen in a convenient spot.
Customer Review –
Small, unobtrusive and long wire
I like that this doesnât take up a lot of space and that the screen and device doesnât emit lots of light and is so small as to not be so obvious in the cage or be in the way. I sit it on top of the cage. I tried to stick it right to the corner of the inside but the suction cup wasnât great and it kept falling so I tried suctioning it to the outside but it still fell and I just decided it could sit on the mesh on the top of the cage at the corner. So the only thing I would have liked would be a better suction cup or another way to stick it to the side glass. But otherwise, I like these a lot and would buy them all over again. It was worth the price.

Inaccurate and dangerous
I’m usually not the kind of person to leave bad reviews, but this one has to he done. I have a sticker thermometer on the side of our aquarium and it has always been accurate. We test with multiple thermometers. This product, however, is literally 10° off. We’ve only have it for a couple of months. I just feel like this is a dangerous product because if someone were to believe the inaccurate temperature reading and turn their heater up or down, this could lead to the death of whatever aquatic animals are living inside of the aquarium. I appreciate how cheap it was, but that is meaningless if it doesn’t work.

Decent for the Price, But Relatively Short-Lived
This thermometer is affordable and worked well for about 9 months, giving quick and accurate readings. However, after that, it started becoming very inaccurateâoff by about 20 degreesâwhich made it unreliable for monitoring tank temperatures. For the price, having 2 was convenient and itâs not a bad purchase if you need something for short-term or casual use. I would consider buying it again for less critical purposes, but I wouldnât recommend it for anything requiring long-term reliability or accuracy.
