I have 2 large breeds that wolf down their food. These bowls work perfectly. In fact I bought 2, though the one I bought 5 years ago have very minimal wear and tear, just for a color change.They clean up nicely after every meal and we found out we were feeding the puppy too much because he was eating slow enough to get full and to stop. Now he is the perfect hourglass shape to his withers. I have mine of raised wooden bases and have no problem with slipping. But I do clean the bowl after every meal, while they are outside using the bathroom -because we add vegetables and raw eggs/ meat sometimes.Great value! Highly recommend

It was smaller that I expected, but it is durable and it does the job well. We feed our dog a generous cup per meal and I think that is about the most food that this bowl can comfortably fit. If you put much more food in it, it would begin to sit on top of the ‘maze’ part of the bowl and the dog would be able to eat it without slowing down.
