Customers say

Customers report that the bacteria treatment works well, helps fish and coral thrive, and keeps tanks clean. The cycle speed and ammonia levels show mixed results – while some customers report quick cycles and no ammonia build-up, others experience high ammonia levels. The bacteria strength receives positive feedback, with one customer noting its effectiveness during water changes. Customers find the product overpriced and consider it a waste of money.

Avoid some of the pitfalls of nonscientific saltwater tanks
Saltwater aquarium set up is full of hoodoo vudoo. Some people may want to set up their aquarium over many weeks or months. I’ve heard it all toss a dead shrimp in the tank and wait for the magic to happen. Hum. That’s not my idea of science. I hold a science degree with extensive work in biology and microbiology. My tank was set up with RODI water Carib live sand and rocks as well as dr Tim’s nitrogen fixing bacteria. Water salinity and ph all within the appropriate ranges. Temperature was 78. degrees. I tested all aquarium parameters with the master test kit. I added 2 clowns a carpet anemone and some hermit crabs. After acclimation to tank temp and salinity these animals have done extremely well. The clowns and anemone have become acclimated all fish are eating and doing well and all critical tank tests show no dangerous levels of ammonia, nitrite or nitrate. Dr Tim has the correct nitrogen fixing microorganisms specifically for aquariums so does the sand and rock. I do have years of aquarium experience but this is my first saltwater tank. Dr Tim has experience setting up huge commercial aquariums and has a PHD in microbiology. You are free to choose hoodoo vudoo or science. I’ll take science every time.

Fishless cycle with Dr Tim’s & ammonium nitrate works!!!
Followed the directions to a T and it worked! 💪Set up: Recife eco 40 – Carib Sea dry rock and live sand. Ai 16hd, Nero 3 wave maker, and Axis 40 controlable pump. Added after boi cycle 2 clowns, 2 cleaner shrimp. Added a week ago after turning on the lights: a small colony of birdsnest and a plating montipora. So far elementary parameters have stabilized. I’ve also added algea barn galaxy-pods to help win on any nuisance algea buildup. Will update this post as time goes on.

    This stuff is AMAZING
This stuff is absolutely amazing. I use it when I set up a new tank, or even sometimes after a water change just to beef up the beneficial bacteria. You can add fish immediately, no more waiting weeks for a tank to cycle. If you worried about over stocking, and about to add another fish, just add another bottle. My tank has never looked so clean and it totally skipped the “ugly stage” that most tanks go through. I always keep an extra bottle on hand just for incase moments. Once I needed to set up a hospital tank for a sick fish, and I didnt have time to wait for the tank to cycle, i just added this and then was good to go. Everyone who has a tank should keep this on hand at all times. It’s amazing.

    Doesn’t work as advertised
Claims to start the tank cycle but this never occurred with our tank. Paired this purchase with their ammonia chloride to feed the bacteria.Readings never budged from 2ppm ammonia. 0 nitrite. 0 nitrate. We were doing a fishless cycle so expected it to take awhile, however the cycle never even began.Buyer beware if you’re looking for a decently paced fishless cycle. Product doesn’t do as it claims.
