He likes it!
I just opened this bag a week ago. My macaw Major is a picky eater. He loves this food! He has even managed to get into the feed bin to eat it. He does go after banana chips first. But this is the first parrot food that he eats everything. Excluding the peanuts. He doesn’t like peanuts. So, thank you from Major!

Not everyone’s bird will eat pellets
My red lored loves it. He simply will not convert to a pellet diet. I’ve even had an expert who vet recommended (bird dietitian I called her) to try to help & my bird went on a hunger strike. So, I was told by vet to pick my battles, and encouraged to mix this seed (the only kind he will eat) with extra dried fruit and other vitamin fortified mixes along with fresh fruits & veggies daily to force him to eat more of a variety and not depend on daily vitamin doseages. This food is fortified. It’s always been fresh. My bird was about 10 when I inherited him, and I’ve had him for over 20 years now so he’s at least 30, very healthy, feathers are bright, he is very active thus not over weight.

I Wish I Could Give it 10 Stars!!
All of our birds are crazy about this mix! I started giving it to them more often when I was running low on zupreem pellets. Now they expect it every night. :DWe have a blue and gold macaw, 2 Amazons, and two goffin’s. Normally some of them don’t get along and I have to watch some good time before I put them in their cages. But now, now that they trained me to give them the seed mix every night, they wait for their seed and get busy eating as much as they can before it’s lights out!they love sunflower seeds and I have never seen any problems with sunflower seeds so I discount things I have read online. They also love safflower seeds. And I have been really surprised that all of them except for one likes pineapple and mango I think it is and the banana chips and the little flattened chips that I think are corn or something? They pretty much like all. I have seen our birds completely ignore the pellets that come with some seed mixes, but they seem to like these too.I’m really glad that Amazon carries this mix. Oh and the most important thing is that there are no preservatives or additives that will make the birds sick!

Flavor hard to determine as I am not eating it. Grumpy 59 yo DXouble Yellow Headed Amazon eats it OK
Boris the grumpy old Amazon eats this mix with no problem. He refuses extruded pellets altogether so this and Higgins are his mainstay along with fresh foods. Given his age, he see,s to know what is right for him so we go with it. Tried when we became his caretakers 13 years ago to improve his diet with the healthier pellets but he held out – preferring to loose weight and subsist on fresh protein and fruits/veggies until we relented and went back to seed mixes. He is healthy with bright plumage and new feathers pushing out so he seems to know what he needs. And we supply it to him.

Seems to be good and my parrot like it

This mix was not suitable for my Rosella bird. Too large pieces/nuts. What was most disappointing was the presence of little brown insects crawling around. Had to spread out in the sun to get rid of them. The larger nuts was put out in the bird feeder outside for wild birds. Also my bird does not like the processed bits which seems to be in every feed available. This mix would be good for large parots., except the bugs.
