Apparently they taste great. Most of their ingredients are organic. The feather-babies love them.
Switched to these from Zupreem Natural when my parrots started refusing those (after 10 years), and they love them. They’re a lot pricier, but apparently they taste great. Most of their ingredients are organic and, I’ve been told but can’t confirm, human food-grade.

I have fed this brand for years, as well as used other brands…
I totally believe in this company doing a great job in the production of their pellets. They are not pretty colors or fancy shapes, and maybe not all birds adjust to that, but there is little waste, they seem easy for them to hold, (if they are parrots), and if your birds do not take to the actual food right away, try the Power Treats. They are NOT balanced to be used as a complete diet, but as a “nutritious” treat they are great and well liked.

Cockatoo loves the pepper
I’ve been buying Harrison’s for years for the consistent quality of the bird food (certified organic non-GMO) and the pepper! Budzilla loves his food and is a happy healthy full-feathered customer. I also give a few nuggets to Sunny the sun conure (who eats the fine grind) who thinks they are extra treats and loves munching on them. Excellent product! And happy healthy feathered friends.

New flavor for my macaw
Harrisons is a great food. This was a new flavor for my macaw. She seems to like it. Normally she gets and she loves her high potency course. Also, the high potency course treats are a huge favorite for my Greenwing Macaw.

Great Nutritious bird food, but size too big – Birds love it
I received the Harrison’s Organic Pepper Lifetime Coarse super quickly and with excellent packaging. My birds really enjoy this flavor. However, they do not enjoy the size. It seems this is only available in coarse size. I have a Mexican Redheaded Amazon and Senegal Conure. I think I have ordered the “fine” size in the past, but it seems it is no longer available anywhere I can find. Please make this in the “Fine” size in 5 lb bags.I find that the birds can finish a 1 lb bag pretty quickly so the 5 lb size is probably a better and more cost effective option. Both my birds really enjoy eating Harrison’s. I like the fact they it’s supposed to be organic. I didn’t know that the USDA also regulated pet food but that’s good. The veterinarian also recommends Harrison’s. It is important for parrots to eat pelleted food and not seeds. Seeds do not provide the nutrition they need to be healthy long term. We are also supposed to supplement the food with fresh fruit and veggies. I know I don’t do that enough, but at least they are getting pelleted food which is supposed to offer more complete nutrition.I can’t say enough about making these pellets in a smaller size. I would definitely purchase a lot more of it.I purchased this product at FULL Price and this is expensive bird food. However, it is good for the birds and they like it.

The only pellet that my Congo African Grey will eat
I have a 3.5 year old CAG parrot that Iâve had since she was just 10 weeks old. Throughout that time, I have thrown out HUNDREDS of dollars worth of high quality pellets, but they must not have tasted very good because she would not even touch them. Straight from the bowl to the garbage. Daily. Sheâd eat her fresh chop and Iâd bake birdie bread, a grain dish and a squash dish occasionally. I was really worried about her weight and if she was getting enough nutrition or not. She was hovering around 350 g. I brought her to her Board Certified Avian Vet who recommended these to us. I thought âwhat could it hurt?â I ordered a 1 lb. bag and SHE LOVES THEM. She sits on her cage door and eats one pellet at a time while watching tv with us. Itâs really funny to watch. Itâs like a game to her. Sheâll crawl all the way in to her cage for one pellet, eat it on her door and repeat. Shes not staying around 430-440g and I am beyond grateful. Sheâs such a goofy girl who thinks our dogs are her pets. LOL.But the most important thing is that her weight is finally in the normal range and she absolutely loves them.Buying these pellets from the Harrisonâs website actually works out to be a little more expensive than buying through Amazon. Iâll never stray from these. Iâm so relieved that we found something that she likes. Thank you, Harrisonâs!!
