Customers say
Customers find the thermometer easy to use and read, consider it a good investment, and appreciate that it comes with an extra battery. The temperature accuracy and functionality receive mixed reviews – while some find it accurate within 1 degree, others report it reads 4.5 to 5 degrees F too high, and some units stopped working after 3 months. The suction cup stickiness and durability are also mixed aspects, with some saying it sticks great while others report the cups don’t like to stick, and some units breaking in 3 months.

SMALL -UNOBTRUSIVE -BATTERIES INCLUDED – ACCURATE- FLAWLESS OPERATION IN 1ST THREE MONTHS -SIX for $2.82 EACH? WOW!
I used to keep large (90 gal and 75 gal) Cichlid tanks 5 yrs ago then left the hobby. Now I’m getting back in on a much smaller scale with 3 gallon Acrylic Nano tanks. Unless you are keeping coldwater fish such as goldfish that can be satisfied and healthy at room temp water, you will still need to heat these little Nano tanks hence you will need to know what the water temp is. 5 or more years ago, the methods used by aquarists to keep track of water temps were primitive by today’s standards. Sure….they had digital technology back then but it was pricey and much cheaper to buy those funky ‘stick on’ thermometers which were often inaccurate to say the least. After reading reviews and shopping around I went with the AQUANEAT Aquarium Digital Thermometer and glad I did. As I needed at least three right off the bat I decided to take advantage of price discounts offered for buying in quantity. For $16.89 I could buy Six Thermometers with Six included batteries. Nice. I have to admit I had two reasons for buying six. Anticipating more aquariums down the road AND anticipating that maybe the quality might be so-so and I’d have a dud or two right away and need a replacement right away. Much to my pleasant surprise….I opened the first three….popped them into the aquariums and they have been operating flawlessly for the last 3 months and accurate as well. I am extremely pleased with this product. It is easy to use and install it ‘disappears’ in your tank it is so unobtrusive. The digital display is nice and small as well. With a little suction cup it will stick to the side of your tank and it will also ‘disappear’ as it is also highly unobtrusive and barely noticeable. The digital display itself is easy to read at a glance. You dont HAVE to stick the display onto your tank. The wiring provided is long enough where I actually have located one of my displays in a remote location from the tank so it’s not even ‘on’ the tank. Now I’m not talking six feet or anything like that but this particular tank is on an office desk and I’ve situated the digital display where it can’t be seen on my desk yet I can pick it up and look at it anytime I want. Nice. So far…I must say….SIX Digital Thermometers with SIX batteries INCLUDED working so well …at least in the first 3 months of use….all for $16.89 plus free shipping ….doing the math…I paid $2.82 PER THERMOMETER with battery included. C’mon…you can’t beat that with a stick!AQUANEAT Aquarium Digital Thermometer Fish Tank Water Terrarium Reptile FREE Extra Batteries (6 Pack)

Didnât work at first, but now itâs great
I had to turn it on and off a few times before it started to work accurately. It was also on in the shipping box. It was reading crazy temps at first but now it is working well. I also put it too close to the aquarium lights at first and it was reading super high, but I moved it to the middle of the tank and it now seems accurate. I did leave it in the tank for about an hour before it really got to an accurate reading. I reallyLike it now that it is working properly as the suction cups stay mounted and the numbers are very legible. If you want to switch it from tank to tank, I recommend turning it off then turning it back on when itâs in the new tank so that it reads accurately within thirty seconds rather than taking a while to adjust. My only concern is that people said it has stopped working after a few months. Iâve only had it in for like three days so we will see what happens.

AQUANEAT Aquarium Thermometer Review
I purchased the AQUANEAT Digital Aquarium Thermometer on December 11, 2021, and it’s served me well for over three years! I primarily used it in my bearded dragon’s 20 and 40-gallon tanks to accurately monitor the temperature of his basking hammock. It consistently provided reliable readings, which was crucial for ensuring my reptile’s health. The unit came with two batteries, and I was impressed by their longevity. Both batteries lasted until February 27, 2025, when the thermometer finally stopped working. That’s a solid lifespan for a budget-friendly device! The large LCD display is clear and easy to read, making quick temperature checks a breeze. It did its job perfectly. The only minor downside is that the suction cup was essentially useless and wouldn’t adhere to the glass. However, considering the excellent performance and incredibly affordable price, I can easily overlook this. I simply placed the unit where it was easily visible.Overall, I’m very satisfied with the AQUANEAT thermometer. It’s a great product at a great price, and it served its purpose admirably for a long time. I would definitely recommend it to anyone needing a reliable and inexpensive temperature monitor for their aquarium or reptile tank.
