My go-to flake
This product always arrives fresh, not stale. The fish absolutely love it. It does not cloud the water in my tank, either. One point I would make to anyone with sensitive fish, though, is to consider soaking the flakes in water. Some fish are easily constipated, and some are prone to bloat. These fish might do better if the flakes are not completely dry, as these flakes are definitely moisture absent.

New formula, still wonderful quality, maintains healthy fish and great coloring
The formula has changed and now the flakes are very big and all one golden color. My fish still seem to like it, I just crinkle some of the big ones down for the smaller guys. I will continue to buy this size to keep it as fresh as possible, the larger jar I still used up before expiring but it wasn’t as fresh towards the end. My freshwater fish (leaf fish, gouramis, dwarf gouramis, platys, mollies, etc have beautiful coloring and are thriving and growing fast.

Picky eaters
I have a few picky eaters in my tank and the worst is my 6 line wrasse. I have tried multiple foods but they just love the really cheap “questionable” foods. I bought this after researching a bunch of reviews and sure enough, they loved it immediately. In fact, is smells pretty good and I wanted to try it. It smells like seaweed chips if you have ever eaten those before.Anyway, the fish and shrimp love it and it is supposedly very healthy. The only downside is the flakes are HUGE. You have to crunch them up in the container or in your fingers when you feed. Otherwise, I think this is an awesome product.

Flakes were too big but…
Flakes were too big but it was an easy fix. Just used an older stoner trick.. threw two quarters in, shut the lid, and shaked away. Easily broke up the flakes to more edibles bites for my tetras. My tetras and corys love these flakes and go crazy (even through I threw in wafers for my corys they still hunt and clean up all the flakes).

Great flakes with extra garlic
These are great flakes for all tropical fishes, including cichlids. I use them for my Lake Malawi cichlids to prevent parasites. You can really smell the extra garlic in them!

BEST flake food for Fresh and Marine
New Life Spectrum has been around a long time. They make top quality fish food. This product’s number 1 ingredient is Krill. It is not loaded with carbohydrates like others (which fish don’t need). I use it in both my saltwater and freshwater tanks with great results.

Fish love this
My platies and tetras love these flakes. If you have small fish like green neon tetras, you will need to crush them by hand into smaller pieces. Has a pungent odor and if you crush by hand, your hand will smell. That is okay as you just wash your hands after crushing them.
