Works as advertised, but the magnet could be just a bit stronger
I love this idea, although I’m sure my pleco won’t – it’ll allow me to peek in when he wants time and space to himself.I placed this into an empty 20 gallon rimless aquarium to test the strength of the magnet. Obviously the rock has to be rested on the bottom or substrate, as when the two halves are separated there is nothing to keep it suspended. The design works – the rock half on the exterior stays in place, but the magnet is only just strong enough to do so. It would be easy to knock of by bumping into it, so I’d recommend keeping it away from areas of travel. Other than that concern it’s a neat gimmick that I’ll be happy to use as soon as I rearrange my tank to accommodate it.
