my favorite frozen fish filets
I love the taste of these cod filets. I also appreciate how affordable they are. Although you only receive 4 filets, they fill you up really fast. They are very hearty! The fish tastes delicious and fresh and has just the right amount of breading.

Not pretty straight out of the box, but…
Opening up the package, these elongated-triangle pieces of cod don’t look very promising, and you may wonder where the breading is, but it puffs up nicely when baked, and would probably fare vey well in an air fryer. The flavor was good, and we enjoyed them, but the salt factor was a bit much. After the fact, I checked the sodium content, and two pieces contains 33% of the recommended daily intake. We enjoyed them regardless, and may buy them again. We’re not at an age when we’re overly concerned about salt intake, but due to the strong salt taste, these won’t be something we’ll eat very often. We served them with homemade tartar sauce, but mayo, chopped capers, cornichons/dill pickles pack their own sodium punch, so used as a condiment with these cod fillets, they were a serious salt bomb!

Good
These breaded fillets tasted good and seemed like a high quality item. I will be buying them again.

WATCH FOR BONES, but very good fish
Thank goodness it was my husband who got the bones and not our 6-year-old. Hopefully theyâll get better quality control. My husband had several bones in his portion, one of which got caught in his throat. Thankfully he was able to get it out and didnât have to go to the hospital in the middle of a pandemic. This fish is very good though. I personally hate fish so I donât eat it, but I make it for my son and husband and this smells so good I actually sneak a tiny bite. Just really wish they would do a better job of removing the bones. Iâm really on the fence about whether to get this fish again or not. I probably wonât until after the pandemic at least.
