The best… One of the largest x snake breeders
I found that I had missed giving this a review. I used to buy this in the huge brown bags as I used to own East Coast Pythons & Reptiles & I went through a LOT of different brands & settled on this as my favorite of any of the Aspen beddings. There’s a very light, clean natural scent that I found pleasant & one that’s naturally supposed to be there. The chunks & pieces are perfect sized & nothing too sharp to hurt your pet or any useless pieces that you need to take out. It’s absorbent & soft & very little if any dust. It’s also easy for your pet to work with in making it’s own paths or bed & The larger the bag you buy the better the price which really helped me out so if you like this one definitely take advantage of that deal!

Its light enough for snakes who love to dig or cover themselves, but sturdy enough for them to move around on. It holds enough moisture to get some humidity up when sprayed but just like most beddings, be careful and change it as needed to avoid mold. My son was overzealous with his ball pythons and dumped water into the bowl each time and when I checked, mold as starting to form in the bedding around the water dish., but that took some time to develop and the bedding was literally soaked.

Aspen bedding
I buy aspen bedding for my California kingsnake since itâs the recommended bedding (google what type of bedding your snake breed needs). Itâs a light color which makes it easy to find poops and spot clean. I try to change out all of the bedding every month or so for sanitary reasons. However if she makes a mess in her water bowl and water goes everywhere, the aspen bedding doesnât really dry back out after a long soak. If itâs a substantial amount of water you should take the wet clump out. I was at petco today to buy a feeder mouse and checked the price of this bedding, $22. On amazon I paid $11 for my 24 size bag. That speaks for itself on value. If aspen bedding is what you need for your pet this is the best price and value you will find hands down.

I have a pet ball python and use this substrate in its enclosure. Itâs great for spot cleaning and is pretty absorbent. Also, conducts the heat well from his bottom heating pad.
