Hooded plastic exterior food water cups held in place with spring loaded Hinged doors, 2 wood perches ½’’ in diameter and 14’’ long, a bottom grille plus a color coordinated pull-out tray and base. 3/8’’ wire spacing is suitable for small birds such as finches, canaries and budgies. All rail wires are 14 gauge and all fill wires are 16 gauge. The large front door measures 8’’ long and 9 7/8’’ high and contains a smaller, 3 7/8’’ long and 4 ½’’ high sliding door giving you more controlled access to the cage interior. Finished with a durable and non-toxic powder coating, Prevue cages undergo independent lab testing and conform to the highest levels of pet safety. I LOVE this bird cage! I sure hope nobody thinks a bird, no matter how small, should be in this 24/7!!! This is not big enough to be a bird’s home. This is an excellent travel cage or sleeping cage if your birds are out all day.The cage part (bars) folds up flat without taking it apart, so you can put it away in a closet or something when not in use. Super cool!! I LOVE the door, it’s the easiest and quietest, and it’s nice and big so you can just put your bird in and out easily on your finger. The cage is well built, sturdy, and looks super nice (I got the teal one, very nice color, same as the picture). I do wish the food dish doors were bigger and the standard slide type so that I could use my own feeders. I bought this one specifically because of the large front door, and although I think it’s way too expensive, I’m super happy I got it! I’m only using it for a travel cage.

Super easy to assemble (my 12 year old did it in under 2 minutes without reading the instructions). Safe bar spacing and a nice big door. However, I bought this with the SOLE PURPOSE of being a sleep cage, so my bird can sleep peacefully, away from the sounds of the TV, etc. As other reviews have mentioned, this should not be used as an every day living space for a bird! MAYBE for a finch, but even the littlest birds need space. It serves the purpose that I bought it for though and I am happy with my purchase.
