Quality Substrate at a Fair Price
This liner has been a great substrate for my female adult leopard gecko. I’ve tried it after I was concerned with her becoming impacted with the reptile calcium sand in her terrarium as I had always heard that accidental ingestion was a problem. After seeing her eat a good bit of sand when she was striking at a cricket, I decided it was time to change her substrate. I’ve tried it for several days now and it seems to be a good solution thus far. I was worried about her claws snagging in it, but that hasn’t happened yet. Zoo Med’s 10 gallon product fits my terrarium perfectly and my gecko took to it just fine. Plus, it’s much cleaner than the sand. There’s nothing for her to track into her hide spots or into her water dishes — much easier to maintain for me!

I like to mix up my geckos tank between coconut coir and carpet. I never clean it I just toss it after 2-4 weeks before it gets smelly

I got this to cover the bottom of my turtles above tank dock. She absolutely loves it, and it’s nice and soft compared to the bare dock!

It works
The rug is simply a piece of felt but it is very easy to clean and dries quick. The only problem is that I had to cut it to fit in the cage because it was too big despite being bought to fit that size tank. I would recommend washing it with water and letting it air dry before using it so it flattens out and food doesnât get stuck underneath it.
