The template to cut the screen is too big
Love the door, but I’ve had problems because the template provided with the item, to mark the hole to be cut in the screen, was so large that the cat door flanges barely grip the bronze screen and the door can be partially pushed free over time. I recommend you compare the template provided to the actual size of the door flange opening, and cut the hole closer to the size of the door opening. You can’t use the flange itself as a template or the edges of the screen will protrude into the open door edges. This might not be a problem if you have plastic screen which is softer than the bronze wire of my screen. // I had to prop the door open to train my shy scaredy-cat to use it, then lower it a couple inches at a time, suspending the door with a string so she had to start squeezing past the door and then finally pushing it aside.

Good cat door, not sure of magnetic feature
The door is bigger than I expected, and lightweight enough to sit well in a window screen. However, I am not now convinced a door in the screen was the way to go. The cats see the door in the screen and it just looks like an obstacle, not a way through. Initial probes from paws are immediately met with the resistance of the magnet. Next time, I will get one without magnets.

    So cute
I gave this to a friend of mine and she says it’s so convenient she doesn’t have to keep opening the door for her cats to come in and out

    Garbage! Find another product
I am the maintenance guy to 122 apartments and I’ve installed three different openings for dogs that can walk in and out. Those three products that have installed I’ve had no issues. This product do not buy! You must have two people to do this simply because it is not user friendly! Do your research and find a product that has the plastic that is bored out to accept the bolts. This product is a royal pain in the Donkey ro install! This is the second time that I’ve tried to install this and I’m going to return the second one. Buyer beware! Not use your friendly!

    Don’t use template!!!!
I had to recreen the side of my porch/deck after I took out the old cat door. So after 2 hours I got that done, but then I put the template on the screen and I caught around it I went to put in the cat door, the template was too big there was holes all around it! So I took another 2 hours and rescreened again! This time I put the cat door on the screen without cutting the screen, I’m going to cut it while it’s up so I know that it is actually in the screen! Don’t use the template!

    Cats love it
What a brilliant idea. I can actually leave the window open and the cats can come and go, but the bugs do not.

    Cute and Easy to Install
I like this pet door. My two cats are getting the hang of it. I like that they can go in & out with me having to keep opening and closing the door. I wish the door was less dense but its weight helps it stay in the closed position.I don’t use the lock feature because it confuses them. In their head, the door stops working and they don’t try to use it once it’s again working.I may just pin a square of thick material over the cat door when I don’t want them to go out but still want the glass door open.Reason for purchase: One of my cats tore a hole in the bottom left corner of the screen to get back into the house. So before going to buy a metal screen sliding door, I figured I could try out this door. It’s working well so far.

I read how to guides before installing and so I did it differently to instructions … was very hesitant to cut my screen, incase i over cut so I didn’t cut my fly screen until I’d installed the frame. I used a sunglasses screwdriver and a wrench to hold nut whilst I tightened bolt. Nuts are very small and there are no spares, can be fiddly so take your time.
