Impressed by overall quality of this. Directions if you take time to absorb them are good. Check the tool list required, depending on your outside wall configuration you will need to adapt. I had vinyl siding, piece of cake. Particle board behind the siding.Step 5.4, I pushed the cardboard insert in A and stapled it to the particle board and used the guide holes for drilling instead of marking the holes and removing it. Less chance of mistake. I used a Ryobi multi tool to cut out both inside and outside openings. Worked better than a jig saw because not obstacles can get in its way like a jig saw and maneuvered well cutting the vinyl siding. Overall the install was fairly easy. My garage is well equipped with tools, fasteners etc. to make quick alterations/adjustments to satisfy unforeseen issues.I’m impressed with everything about this doggy door. Well packaged, good instructions, sturdy nicely finished frame. Good fit for the flaps/magnets.UPDATE: The Closing Plate fit well on he outside, sliding easily into the slots. Inside however, the Spring Lock was in the way of the slot on that side making it so the Closing plate would not slide down.After mulling over my options my options I decided to file/grind down the side of the Closing Plate, maybe 1/16th of an inch, and it solved the problem. The tacked on strip on the Plate did come off while grinding. Secured with glue. Back in business.clearance was achieved.

This installed easily and is working well. The inside of the tunnel is lined between the doors. It replaced one that did not have the lining. My dog was a little hesitant to push past the doors. (The insulated flap makes it dark.) She’s using it now and we’re both happy. One thing I would wish is a little stronger magnets or more magnets at the bottom. We’ve had very strong wind gusts this year. I wish I could order replacement flaps, just in case I need them.

size and quality
I purchased this dog door originally in a size large but truly needed an extra large. The door is good quality, however, the metal panel that came with mine did not quite fit to operate the lock. It is an easy fix if done prior to the final install. I contacted the company on several occasions and they responded quickly and efficiently. Our puppy decided to chew the corners of the flaps so again I contacted the company to find replacements and they responded quickly and efficiently. The insulated panel is great and keeps the warmth inside our garage and the cold outside. If you are pondering on what size to get, my advise is to size up.

Not Satisfactory at all
I recently purchased the Pet Door for Wall with 3-Flap Insulation, hoping it would provide my dog with easy outdoor access while maintaining my home’s energy efficiency. Unfortunately, my experience has been far from satisfactory. The flaps seemed so flimsy and the installation instructions were so unclear and cumbersome. Also one of the main reasons I chose this product was its 3-flap insulation feature. However, I noticed a significant draft coming through the door. In summary, the Pet Door for Wall with 3-Flap Insulation did not meet my expectations in terms of installation, durability, security, and insulation. I would not recommend this product to other pet owners. Returning it, very disappointed !

Go Larger!
We have 3 dogs. Two labs and Maltese. It was easy to train labs. The little one took some time.We originally bought a size large. My husband took it out and said no way even though I followed the recommended measurements. I bought the XL then and what a dream!My husband spent a little over 2 hours installing.We had an artic cold right after. I was afraid it would be cold but the insulationwas fine for our home.I do hear them coming and going but the it’s not loud.It’s definitely worth it.
