BEST DOOR FOR THE MONEY!
This is a very good door for the price. I installed this on my garage metal door for cats. The small size was more than adequate for my cats – even the tall one. Installing this through a metal garage door requires some effort with a jigsaw and drill. I wouldn’t say it was an easy process. It took some tweaking to get both sides and insert aligned. Another person would have helped since I was trying to align both sides holding up the doors myself. The bolts are long so they will fit any size width of door up to 2″. So… In my case I had to cut off 4 bolts that were sticking out. I had no access to use a hacksaw, so I had to buy an angle grinder to cut them off. As a note – I had to install the door backwards because the metal cross brace on the garage door would not allow the plate that you use to slide in to block the door was in the way. Not a problem, I can slide it in on the outside when I need to seal the door. Just be sure to measure everything twice, especially when cutting down the inserts- there were varying widths on the garage door after I cut out the opening. The inserts go around the inside of the garage door opening and insert into both sides of the frame. All in all- I am extremely happy with the quality.

Quick installation
I bought this because it could be installed on something as thin as a screen. The guy building our catio was going to install it in a piece of plexiglass, so this was perfect. It allows us to close the window when the catio isn’t in use or if the weather is bad, although it is supposed to be suitable for outdoors – we just haven’t had it long enough for a good test. The flap is a little stiff, but that may work out with time. Our handyman said it was easy to install and it looks nice – we’ll just see how many times the cats try going through the plexiglass until they figure out there’s a door! The cats haven’t had a chance to use it yet, so I may give an update in a few weeks.

Sturdy and rugged
These doors are a little bigger than the ones I had. I purchased 2 doors and put a 2 flap door through the wall to the outside to keep wind and debris from blowing in. It works great that way.
