The presence of clean and fresh water is important for the proper care and maintenance of captive reptiles and amphibians. The Exo Terra Frog Pond has a very natural and realistic pebble-rock finish that integrates in any type of terrarium. The Frog Pond’s unique shape allows you to install the pond semi-recessed in the substrate to mimic a riparian zone. This design offers easy access for reptiles and amphibians to hydrate while the shallow water body and integrated steps prevent the animals from drowning. Amphibians do not drink water but instead replenish their moisture and ion levels through their skin via osmosis. They absorb water, via their permeable skin from the humidity in their environment as well as by sitting with their backside in a shallow water body, soaking up moisture. Because most amphibians reproduce in temporary or permanent shallow pools, or carry their tadpoles to these water bodies, the Frog Pond is an important feature in every tropical terrarium. Offer fresh and clean water on a daily basis! Always treat tap water with Aquatize (PT1979) to remove harmful heavy metals, chlorine and chloramines, necessary to provide safe healthy water for your captive reptiles and amphibians. Enhance the nutritional value of the drinking water by adding liquid Electrolyte (PT1993) and Calcium (PT1973) to support healthy bone and muscle growth in your pet reptiles and amphibians.

Frogs and geckos love it!
This is the large water pond / bowl and is still relatively small in size. It worked perfect for this enclosure, the frogs play in the water and mourning geckos hunt bugs around the edges of the water. I wish Exo Terra made this same style bowl in larger sizes for bigger tanks.

She loves it!
I added this to my poison dart frog vivarium and she loves it. It’s not too large or too small.
Nice quality and good value.

Finally a Pond That Actually Works
Iâve tried several frog ponds for my amphibians over the years and this one is by far the best. The size is perfect for my larger tank and it doesnât take up too much space. The design is natural looking, so it blends seamlessly into the rest of my terrarium.
Setting it up was incredibly easy. The surface is smooth, and it holds water without any issues. Unlike other ponds Iâve tried, this one doesnât leak or crack under pressure. The frogs immediately loved it, and itâs become their favorite spot to hang out.
The depth is just right tooânot too deep that they canât get in and out, but deep enough to feel like a proper pond. The only thing Iâd recommend is adding some aquatic plants to help with filtration.
If youâre looking for a sturdy, reliable, and easy-to-maintain water source for your frogs, this is the one to go for. Definitely worth the investment!

Feels solid. Dart frogs love it.
It is the perfect size in my vivarium. I’ve caught my frogs soaking in it or just chilling on the edge.

Small
Large one could work for dart frogs and is what I bought it for. Therefore I do not see what you could use the small one for. Definitely get the larg one. Don’t no what use there would be for the small one. Unless you just want it for looks. They are nice looking.

Happy with product, not too deep so frogs won’t drown, would recommend.
