Great warning system
I have three of these in different colors for my indoor/outdoor kitty. Cats kill thousands of songbirds every year. Mine brought two into the house – dead. I read about these and learned that bells do not help warn birds – colors do! So I started using these and have not had any more problems with my cat catching the birds. Love the colors! He looks almost Shakespearean in it!

Bengal cat owners unite!
This works by going around an existing collar. Not reflective. Color was very pretty and it is functional. Wish it was a little bit larger in terms of fabric so that my cat could look more Elizabethan. Worth every penny though for saving all the birds in our yard.

Works as advertised but the problems make it not worth the cost
Bird kills are way down, rodent kills also down. The reflective trim is a nice touch but that’s about it for the pros. Make no mistake, you’re basically paying for the science, not the product… For what these areâa thin tube of fabricâ$10 is steep. Not even a safety collar that comes with the purchase? Then another $3.60 for shipping? Wow guys.I ordered two of these, thinking that if one got lost…sure enough, not a week later the cat came back without its collar. We found it, then it got lost again, permanently. $13.60 down the drain. So yeah, the next one will be a home-sewn job (for about 1/10th the cost). Most surprisingly, the fabric is not water-resistant; so the collar routinely comes back soaking wet. We have to remove it and dry it out each time. There are great sewing vids on Youtube…

Awesome product!
Have had this almost a month now and no birds caught! Our cat was bringing in live birds 1-2 times per week. So this collar was a relief to find. Now the birds (and myself) have no problem spotting her from afar. The fabric is very good quality and my cat has no issue keeping it on.I only make her wear it when she is outside. One thing to check if your cat is outside a lot is that there are no foxtails or spike weeds stuck in the fabric. This has not been an issue but itâs good to monitor so the cat does not feel like they want to take it off due to discomfort.Would definitely recommend if birds are an issue.

Can’t say I’d recommend
Normally I’m not one to write a review, but these photos say it all. I read all the amazing reviews and loved the concept of this product. My cat has had this collar on for three days and has brought in two birds. Do what what you want with that information, but at this point I think it’s making my cat an even better hunter. Maybe the circular contraption makes him more aerodynamic/quiet/attractive etc.?He is a wizard of sorts, so maybe Tuna is the outlier and this product is as amazing as everyone says it is. I mean he has two bells AND the birds be safe collar and here we are with a bird in the kitchen. Maybe his dog companion isn’t enough? He thinks we need more animals (whether dead or alive) in the house? Maybe he’s mad I chuckle every time I see him because he looks so silly and this is his payback? Maybe he’s so happy he has this showy collar he wants to reward us with birds? Regardless of the reasoning for his actions I will say this has not been effective.

I wanted this to workâ¦..
Our cat is a birder and we thought this might help but it hasnât. We started him with a collar with a bell. Well that didnât work. we got three of these, which slip over his collar so he still has the sound of the bell. Two of them have been lost somewhere in the woods, along with the collars. The one heâs wearing now has lasted for over a month, but has not slowed down his hunt for birds and mice etc. We left his collar on because we think he looks so cute and he doesnât seem to mind wearing it at all. BTW We have friends whose cat wears one and it has worked effectively for them . So it may not be the product as much as the cat

Bright, reflective, drops kill rate, effective day and night
Took a little getting used to by us and the cat, but this collar seemed to immediately help our bird population recover from the adoption of a very skilled one-eyed feral kitten. The collar cover is cute, highly reflective at night, and generally helps us keep track of the cat. She is killing far fewer birds and seems to still take out bugs, rodents and lizards. This type of anti-bird-kill collar cover with a quick-release collar should be a requirement for all TNR cats to wear.

Works very well….good purchases
The product is well-made, the more colorful the better. I added one extra bell as to warn birds and animals of my cat’s approach…it is working amazingly well. In the two years my cat has worn it, it has caught one frog, on chipmunk and one bird. A second bird was caught when he didn’t have the extra bell. He tolerates wearing it very well, even with the extra bell. I am very happy with this product. BUT, DO ADD THE EXTRA BELL, OTHERWISE IT IS NOT FULLY EFFECTIVE!

Hi – i seldom if ever write reviews, but i am very pleased with results for this collar sleeve combined with clip together collar. If you are thinking to try something to save the birds, i think this is worth the risk.Based in lower South Island, NZ, one of our cats was killing 2-5 birds a day. It is a seasonal thing of course, depending on bird species, feed type, temp, etc.Since the collar – we put it on in the morning, take off in evening – there have been 2 kills total over approx 3 weeks. Super pleased. We are lucky cat is pretty relaxed about collar, no craziness. Absolutely worth the money in this instance.

This cat was a very successful bird hunter prior to receiving her Birdsbesafe Cat Collar. Since she’s had this on, no birds have lost their lives. And she seems to like it! She has not attempted to remove it at all.

Look at how beautiful my cat, Xena, looks with this collar.
Amazon Customer –
The collar is as advertised. It slides over my catâs existing collar with ease, & doesnât interfere with anything my cat does which is a relief. Itâs as colourful as shown in the pictures, & itâs well made. Iâve had my cat six years & he has only ever brought home 1 bird. However, that doesnât mean he isnât killing birds & not bringing them home. The interesting thing is he does bring home mice & rats regularly which means weekly. Since heâs been wearing the collar he hasnât brought ANY home. Thatâs a good thing too.

Comfortable for cat as she normally discomfort with collars, colours are nice, so far no birds killed and a little troublesome to fit collar through the scruff as it’s small. (Will update my cat kills another being)Edit: two bird dead. Not sure if cat I’d getting smart and turning the collar into a bird attractionHowever it’s expensive as it’s big it can easy get caught making breakaway collar coming off.
