Such a clever, sturdy, decorative, solution to a long-standing problem!!
I have a medium sized dog that I often need to place in my bedroom for short periods if time, but I don’t like to lock the cats in or out of that same bedroom, because they will scratch at the door to enter/exit it, and ruin the paint finish on it. I first tried the white plastic version of a door stopper (made by Door Buddy), but this one is much sturdier (metal bs plastic), much more decorative (black matt finish matches my doorknob), and the best distinction is that it has a foldable arm, so it’s not awkwardly sticking out when you’re not using it (see video). Oh and it is EASY to install (3 minutes maybe?). Ten out of ten!

Perfection ð ð
This is exactly what I needed. I’m a night shift worker, keeping my bedroom dark during the day is super important. With this it keeps my door mostly shut but allows my cat to go in and out. It allows me to sleep better and it’s so easy to use. When I got this I was praying it would be easy to install. Because so many times things say they’re easy to install but then you try it and you have to buy other adaptable items to make it fit. But this was as easy as it could possibly be. I installed it in 1 to 2 minutes with it just a standard screwdriver and it works perfectly. I could not be more happy. Also I think it’s important for me to state that my cat is Chubby and in the widest slot she goes through the door just fine no problems.

Great product, but the Detachable Door Retainer is useless
The DoorProp is an excellent solution for allowing cats to access a room while keeping dogs outâperfect for spaces like the litter box area. The main product is made of metal, feels very durable, and is of high quality. I love that it folds down to avoid hurting yourself when entering or exiting the room. Additionally, it doesnât damage the door, and the installation is incredibly easy.However, the additional accessory called the âDetachable Door Retainerâ is disappointing. While the idea behind it is good, the execution is poor. Itâs meant to keep the door from closing if it doesnât have an automatic latch, but it simply doesnât work. It keeps falling off no matter how much you adjust it, as it seems to be made exactly to the size of the holes and lacks proper stability. In my opinion, itâs an unnecessary piece of plastic that doesnât fulfill its intended purpose.Overall, the Doo rProp is an excellent product, but this additional accessory adds no value.

Easy to install and solves my problem
I need this to keep my large dogs out of the bathroom where I keep one of cats litter box. Problem solved! Easily assembled the product by following instructions. Easily attached to the door frame with no extra holes needed. Several options for gap space. The center one works great for my 14 pound cat to get through and prevent my large dogs from getting their heads through. Keeps the dogs out. Simple to access when I need to enter the room. Turn the handle and the latch releases. Locks in position when not needed for easy access to the room. It is an eyesore when in the bathroom as it sticks out. Certainly a device the people notice and get curious about. The arm that attaches to the door is easily bent. I have removed it and straightened it back out with a mallet or bending. Several people have attempted to force it to move when in the locked unused position. Curious as to what it is. I have to tighten the screws every couple weeks as the arm loosens with use.Make sure the keep the door knocked turned until clearing the device. It will catch on another hole spacing and stop you in your tracks. Be cautious of the arm if not placing it in the locked position. It does stand straight out and will catch clothing. Which also beds the arm and loosens the screws.For me it is worth some minor inconvenience to keep my dogs from exploring the kitty crispies and getting sick.

Awesome product!
This product has been highly effective for us. We have a 13 yo dog that has Pica; an eating disorder in which a person/animal has a compulsion to eat things other than food. Jenny is obsessed with small fabrics and if the opportunity exists, will eat socks, dish cloths, napkins, the corners off blankets, etc. Definitely a health hazard and so disgusting when she pukes them back up. Thankfully we have not had to have any surgeries to remove anything. She seems to get worse as she ages. At wits end, I ordered one of these gadgets. THIS PRODUCT WORKS! We initially only had one on the laundry room door to test it out. Access is still easy for us, impossible for her. I have ordered more for the bedrooms since this worked so well for us. I definitely recommend if you need to keep a dog out of an area.

Works Great
I am a bit handy so for me it was easy to install. I love that I can move the “arm” out of the way when it isn’t needed. It is easy to open and prop close the door while the device is in use. It is sturdy enough to keep my large dog away from my cat. The only drawback is that the strike plate is not curved. Therefore, then the propping “arm” is not in use the door knob must be turned to close the door or it will bounce off of the strike plate. This doesn’t happen with the arm extended and doesn’t impact the function of the device it just takes some getting used to the difference.
