Did its job well!
I bought this for my rabbits thinking it was aspen shavings but its completely my fault for not opening my eyes LOL. It is very compact in the packing and was very affordable, I know its not ideal for rabbits but it does its job and alittle bit wont hurt them.

Well… its pine shavings for small pets, so what can you really say? They arrived fast, packaged well. The product itself is packed extremely tightly and took a little effort to initially break the bale and get things flowing. You get a lot of shavings for the money. We are using them for baby chickens and it works just fine, as well as any other we have used. It may just be perception, but it does seem to have a little more smell than previously used shavings, at first the pine scent is pretty strong, but after only a day or two tops the chickens seem like they need the bedding changed out already instead of just spot cleaned. It may just be perception, could be the weather (doors been open more than normal, humidity, etc.), so I dont want to knock off more than the one star until I can change it out and give it another shot.

If you’re thinking of getting these for chickens, dont.
I thought this would be good for chickens but unfortunately it wasn’t. It didn’t absorb the smell or water very well and finished much to quickly, more than 70% was used in only 13 days. For baby chickens it might work but definitely not for chcikens 2 weeks and older.

I used to use hay as a covering for my rodents. Since I got this pine. The smell in the cage is so much nicer and also the mice love it. It was enough to fill my aquarium all the way and I still have enough for second refilling so very good value a good quality.

This is great and soft and looks awesome!!But not absorbing my quail poo!!!! too much like pine shavings do.The price is too high…. altho it DOES go very far.I used only a quarter of the packet for a 4ft long x 2ft wide cage and it was well over an inch high and total area full of fluffy paper!!…:)BUT may be great for the rabbits it IS intended for!!!…:)
