Great looking mat that looks good & sturdy
The mat is cute and funny but a good mat to clean shoes & boots. Unfortunately the height of the mat does not allow us to use the mat directly in front of the storm door. We chose to keep it & keep it sideway next to the door opening.

I just love this doormat! The message is so accurate for my home that I just had to order it the second I saw it. It’s a nice quality doormat and it makes me smile every time I glance out at my front porch.For context: I am a dog person, never had much interest in cats. But, somehow, all the neighborhood cats decided that my front porch is the place to congregate. First it was one, then he brought a friend, and now on any given day I can look out and see 3-5 cats lounging around.At first I was thinking “what are they doing here? How can I make them leave?” But then I started looking at those cute furry faces. Next thing I knew I was adding cat treats to my shopping list every week. They got me. I literally have no cats of my own but my house is now the go-to spot for all cats in the neighborhood.I’ve accepted my situation and have also set up water bowls and shelters for them outside. All of these cats have homes in the immediate vicinity where they are loved and well cared for, but I just want them to be comfy while visiting.This doormat is a sign that I have come full circle: I accept that I am now …. a cat person (and a dog person too of course!). Everyone who has come to my home (every single person!) has commented on how cute and funny this doormat is. One of my friends even asked me where to order it!It has held up really well in the several weeks since I put it outside, despite some rather nasty weather.If you are a cat lover (or if cats just love your home like with me!) this is a perfect doormat. Highly recommend it.

Thick
Comes rolled up, but upon unwrapping it quickly lays out flat.It’s quite thick, in the sense of the thickness of the overall mat–so the fibers aren’t going to get worn down for a long time. That said, if it sheds (I’ve seen no evidence of that yet), I suppose that would be more of an issue than the fibers wearing down. But it’s also thick in the sense of having a lot of fibers per square inch–so if it does shed, the problem will not be that it runs out of fibers too soon, but just sweeping up the shed fibers.So far, very good, and of course the printed saying about who’s in charge holds true.

Sheds a lot – not cut straight – reasonably thick – fun image
I have cats and they definitely are in charge of my home. This doormat is very fitting for my front door.The image and words on the mat look great. The mat is reasonably thick and has a non slip backing.The mat sheds a ton. It is also not cut straight at all. It is very curved on one side and clipped bad on one corner. I think this could be a decent doormat, but more care needs to be taken to have better quality control.

Very nice quality. It has a grammatical error though and should say, “The cats are in charge, we just live here.” The ink seems like it will withstand use. Very nice.

Super cute and saying is so true!
Being a cat mom of 3, I had to smile when I seen this welcome mat! It arrived nicely rolled up and after about 5 minutes laid flat with a little coaxing and gentle roll the opposite way. It’s made of natural fibers and did shed quite a bit right out of the box that I swept away. It is in a place that will get wet, so see what happens and how fast it dries and not stay soggy. It looks great at my entrance, and will bring a chuckle to those who come up to the door. Nothing bad about this one, just a natural fiber mat with a rubber backing…. crossing my fingers the boys don’t think it a new scratching post!
