Product Description
Keep plants and animals growing strong and healthy by supporting your terrarium with all-natural coconut husk substrate.
When it comes to pets there’s few things more fun and exciting than raising snakes, turtles, frogs, and spiders. But these unique animals require a little extra care, especially when it comes to their terrarium balance. That’s why we created this natural coconut husk fiber substrate that helps you maintain a healthier, cleaner environment, so they can feel more at home, and you can keep indoor tanks smelling fresher and looking cleaner far better than wood chips, rocks, or other poor-quality substitutes.
Increased Terrarium Humidity
A natural substrate for plants and animals, coconut husk fiber substrate stimulates natural digging and burrowing behaviors. It also helps maintain a warmer tank environment which is important for reptiles and amphibians. This increased humidity allows them to maintain their body temperature more effectively, which can help increase their natural energy levels. Important for growth, sustainability, and overall animal happiness.

Works fantastically
This is a giant pain in the ass to chip away at (my most success was the back end of a hammer) however, that *makes sense* because it is *compressed* so… like… be aware of what you’re buying?? (Not looking at the other commenters on here >_> )Anyway! Once it’s been reconstituted, it’s super soft and lovely and it lasts soooooo long.Super awesome.Oh, it was a total mess lol (I broke it down in a tub, slowly pulling it apart and mixing it with water)

Python Mom
This was my first time buying the coconut brick and Iâll never buy loose substrate again! Great price point and more than enough for my snake. Holds humidity well and smells good

Easier to break up than the smaller bricks
The large brick was easier to break apart than the smaller bricks, so when adding water I didn’t have to add as much water to get it reconstituted. Therefore I didn’t have to let it dry out at all. I was able to put it right in our tortoises pen as it was not sopping wet. Saved lots of time.

Highly recommend
This stuff is amazing for my ball python enclosure. It holds humidity super good and looks really nice. You definitely get your moneys worth since itâs condensed. Little messy to work with but not too bad. Surprisingly smells kinda good too, outdoorsy.

Not too shabby
Snake seems to enjoy it. Kind of messy but it seems to best bang for your buck. Would buy again

Great substrate for my russian tortoise
It expanded lots and filled my tortoises 2′ X ‘4 enclosure 2 and 1/2 inches! He has room to burrow and the substrate lasts for about 3 months before I have to replace it all. I love that it smells earthy and masks the tortoise poop smell. All I have to do is scoop up waste like a litter box. Didn’t appreciate the green plastic ribbon though. He could’ve mistaken it for food ð¬

Found a piece of old cloth
Took forever to break apart with a hammer, but I got it broken up and separated into 7 gallon ziplock bags. I used this to put in my tarantulas enclosure, it seems to hold moisture well. My only complaint is while breaking up the brick, I found twigs and a piece of cloth that was knotted together. Iâm not exactly sure what it was or why it was in the substrate, so I threw it away.

It’s okay as in like good stuff but it’s a pain in the backside as it’s a solid block when it comes. I am new to this stuff for my tortoise so I didn’t know it would arrive as like I said a solid block haha
