Excellent for saltwater aquariums.
Great product with 2 years left before expiration. Did take a day or so for water to clear but that would be normal. Thanks!

Quite Natural – Natural Reef
It’s called Natural Reef and it is just that; a very natural looking reef substrate with a wide variety of grain sizes. It’s awesome for your burrowing critters like Jawfish and Pistol Shrimp / Goby Pairs. I’ve used all of the popular Carisea reef tank substrates and this is my favorite for my higher flow SPS tank as it doesn’t blow around too much and my pistol shrimp can make great burrows with the crushed coral pieces in the mix.

Not coarse as it says.
I thought this would be more coarse. You find one or two big chunks but in general looks like any other aragonite. I’m using in a jaubert and so far so good

helped me!!!!!
I’ve had a 180 reef tank for over 30 years. I started to suffer from a BAD dinoflagellate problem and tried everything… 3 day blackout (worked ok) , a new UV sterilizer (which I haven’t used since I started the tank),adding microbacker 7 and algae barn’s phytoplankton and copepods. all seemed to be helping. I blew the dinos out every night and noticed my sand bed wasn’t what it used to be so I started with one bag of CaribSea Arag-Alive Natural Reef Aquarium Gravel and another bag 2 weeks later. The dinos are definitely on the retreat!!! I have my lights back up to full power, moon lights too. UPDATE- march 1, 2024- Itâs been about a year since I first started having problems with Dinos. They are almost completely under control. Unfortunately I had to add a new sump because my old one just could not handle the tank. We put a 40 gallon sump WITH a Clarisea 5000 in it. Still using micro backer 7, plus careful light control. Also I put in 5 bags of this sand. Hope this all helps.

Best thing you can get
Itâs a great product, itâll come with a water clarifier to help with the cloudiness. This is the only substrate Iâll ever use again. Regular sand gets blown all over the place if you need more circulation in the tank. These are alittle heavier but yet still small enough for goby to sift through.

Seller hid the expiration date with a sticker
Great product but bad business. Package was delivered today 3/3/2023 with a white sticker over the 04/2022 expired date. Never had this happen with Amazon but it was obvious that an attempt was being made to pass off a product that was expired. I have asked for a replacement but I have to drive almost a hour one way to drop off the return.AGAIN⦠this is a great product that I have used for years. Make sure you check the date if you order it from Amazon
