Looks high quality & love the color
I ordered two of these beautiful rich red dog collars for my dogs. The color is not too bright and orangey, vibrant enough with more of a deep cherry hue. Iâve included pictures of the same collar color in natural sunlight and shade for reference.I got a size XS for my 9lb Chihuahua mix And a medium for my 62 pound Shepsky. I was worried about the brass hardware being too heavy or bulky for a senior chihuahua but it ended up being a good size. I usually get my Shepsky a size Large, but the medium size has plenty of room for her neck without going over 1â thickness for comfort.I canât speak on durability since I just got them a week ago. But the brass hardware, leather texture and rich red color make it look expensive and durable. Iâm waiting on my brass coined name tags that I ordered to match with these and give a vintage luxurious look.My only suggestion is to make the band that holds the loose end in place a little wider since itâs a snug fit.

Better than leather
I’ve used a leather collar for my dog for years and I was over it. The leather starts to smell, it stretches out, and the hardware on the leather gets rusty. I did a lot of research before buying this one and it’s got the durability of a plastic collar but looks and feels way nicer. My dog has jumped into the ocean with it a few times and I’m surprised the hardware hasn’t tarnished. Very impressed with this product.

Tough collar⦠almost too tough
I will keep looking for a collar with softer edges and a softer biothane. This is definitely a tough collar but I feel bad leaving it on my dog unless sheâs outside. Itâs very stiff and has hard edges. It doesnât seem very comfortable for her. But it will hold up to rough use. Catch 22. She is a large dog, and itâs still too much.

Actually durable!
Coming up on 2 years later. Dog is 65lbs on a lean month and this collar still looks new. This dog pulls like a freight train it’s ridiculous and I can barely see the slightest stress around the pin holes where he normally wears and zero stretching of the holes,collar,buckle,rivets etc.. Collar is a tank for big boys or gals I and I couldn’t recommend more.

Hi my name is Prime and I am 7 months. I just received my new dog collar, and I love it! This is our second collar from Tuff Pupper! We also have the green one. Great quality and the price is amazing. Our Cocker Spaniel wears a small and we keep it pretty loose bc he wears it 24/7 just in case he escapes the yard. It must be comfortable bc never scratches at it! We have had so many people comment on the fact that they love how sleek his leather collar is and they are always surprised when we tell them it’s not leather and actually more durable. Our cocker is a leash puller (we are in training) and the collar has held up wonderfully.

One issue
Be careful of losing the part of the collar that lets you slip in the extra slack. The collar is beautiful and waterproof, but the only downside is the leather hoop that holds the extra slack of the collar when itâs on your dog, at the end of the collar, is lose and can be easily lost or fallen off the collar itself. Once itâs gone, thereâs no way to replace it or buy just that on Amazon, and the extra slack of the collar when itâs on just awkwardly hangs out. Right now, Iâm just using hair elastics as a replacement until I feel like buying a new collar again :/ kind of a pain

I rarely make the effort to write a review but I just had to with this one, my 9 year old cavalier who loves water used to need a new collar every few months as they would always get ruined.
