The Right Stuff
First time terrarium builder. It has been a month and my plants are doing great. Small stones, charcoal, and this mix made for a wonderful environment for my thriving plants. I watered once when I made the terrarium a couple months ago and now it just uses condensation in a closed environment. Fun and cool to watch.

I use this in a small glass jar terrarium that I used for my office . I planted some Moss seeds and turtle grass, they were sprouting with in 3 to 5 days, and the live plants I put in there were already rooted in at the same time. Works well. Good price. Fair amount. Doter glass container potting soil mixture has very good soil. I used other soil before, and it was easy to rot the roots when I watered too much. This granular soil will not work at all. It allows water to drain quickly without making the soil too dry. The granules are uniform in size, sufficient in weight, very clean and without extra impurities.
In order to grow succulents better, I bought Doter glass container potting soil mixture. The granular soil has a good ratio and rich nutrients. The granules are clean and uniform. There are sunstone, diatomite, red volcanic stone, green zeolite, hard medical stone, golden medical stone, etc. It is a must-have for growing succulents. I hope they grow better. I added some medical stone to increase the granule ratio. It is perfect for growing cacti, agaves, and aloe desert plants.

Fast Draining
This is pretty decent soil, I think it would go well in a terrarium or used with bonsai, I will use it as a base for succulent soil and add more grit to it, but it already has a fair amount of what looks like lava rock. My biggest complaint with this dirt is the complete lack of ingredients, also there are bits of paper in it, like thin tissue paper which sure will disintegrate, but I equate that with low quality dirt. I really wish it listed the ingredients and the ratio because some plants are pretty picky about that kind of thing
