Flexible, breathable, and wipeable!
My cat is no stranger to the cone. Unfortunately he has herpes and flares up during stressful moments (vet visits.)This cone has been a life saver. Itâs large enough to block him from accessing the area but small enough for him to maneuver around the house. Itâs very lightweight which is nice since he usually has to wear it for 2-3 week stretches. I canât imagine weight on your neck while your eye is itchy and you canât reach it to scratch.Heâs able to sleep comfortably without needing anything to prop his head up.I can clean it just by wiping down. I have another soft cone that is fabric and need to machine wash, often.It has an adjustable strap at the bottom with a waterproof material. Itâs nice because he doesnât sweat as much around the collar as he does with the fabric cones and cotton neckbands.It has a thick, I mean THICK, Velcro closure. That cone isnât coming off. Itâs actually a little difficult to remove but I guess thatâs the point?I highly recommend, especially for sphynx cats. My guy is 11lbs, neck is 8 inches around, and we purchased a size Medium and it was perfect.My only note is: Iâd like to see a clear version. It would be cool if there wasnât a pattern printed, so my cat can see better.

Makes recovery easier and so much better !
This item was PURfect for our kitty. She didnât mind wearing it. We took it off when we could watch herâ¦she wouldnât get at stitches. She slept in it. It is a mesh so breathable and she could jump down off bed because it didnât obstruct her vision. Will never put those plastic cones on our furbaby again! This is also easy on and off with a large Velcro adjustable neck for cone. Plastic cones are horrible to put on and remove and of course pets do not like them. Highly recommend this for cats. Our baby is 23 pounds and adapted very well to it.

Better than the hard-plastic cone!
Really great! Our cat can sleep comfortably, eat without any issue and can breathe through the mesh. It seems my hs more comfortable than the hard plastic cone. It has not been torn off, unlike the hard plastic cone that our cat managed to take off twice! It’s easy to put on and take off; it’s cute as well.My cat is 5.6 pounds, about 10-11 months old and is pretty small, bought a Medium, adjusted it and it fits her well and then some for future growth.

Similar to the hard cones from the vet, but not hard
Due to a tail injury, my cat has been in a cone for over 5 weeks now, and she’s just miserable in the hard cone that the vet gave us. Since she still has several weeks to go, I needed something with the same dimensions as that cone, but something lighter and more flexible. This one fits the bill. She still doesn’t love it, but since it’s lighter and it bends, she’s more comfortable – especially sleeping. It has a few cons, though: due to its flexibility, it doesn’t always stay perfectly round so sometimes squashes her ears. Also, it came with a weird smell to it that still hasn’t dissipated after 5 days, and when she dunks the mesh in the water bowl, it takes awhile to dry. Still a solid 4 out of 5, as I don’t think a cone exists that she will like and will still work properly.

Pro: Looks pretty, and soft enough my cat can sleep with itCon: WAY too long and the velcro is too wide so it’s hard/noisy to take off, but at the same time, too easy for cats to slip out of it

Does its job!
This item is well made and works great. The velcro holds fast and makes it easy to put on. I used after a kitten surgery. It’s also great to slip on when you trim nails (it distracts the cat plus, they can’t bite you). Measure your cat’s neck for correct fit.

Better than the plastic Cone of Shame
I like to give reviews whenever I can and this is one product I feel like deserves a review. Our 10 year old cat needed surgery to remove his eye. The vet sent him home with the typical plastic cone of shame, but our cat was clearly not himself and with a 14 day recovery window, we couldnât have him not being able to eat and drink. Obviously we didnât expect him to be 100% himself after having such a surgery, but he wouldnât even use the litter box because the plastic cone got in the way. Additionally, he was also able to figure out how to get the plastic cone off after just 24 hours with it. Now, normally he is a very mild, calm, laid back cat. He will typically spend more than half his day sitting on my husbandâs lap sleeping so I cannot speak for a more active cat, but this cone is working perfectly for him. He is still trying to navigate around with this one since his whiskers are in the cone and canât help him, but since it is softer, sleeping, eating and drinking, and going to the bathroom have all been easier for him. The cone itself is a pretty durable material that is tough yet more comfortable feeling than the plastic alternative. Is it 100% comfortable? Probably not, but I feel like anything softer would make it too squishy or more likely to come off and therefore wouldnât work in preventing him from scratching his surgical area or hitting it against a wall or piece of furniture. I highly recommend this for an animal who has gone through a surgery on the face as an alternative to the standard plastic one, especially if the healing time is on the longer end. Size wise our cat is 7.5lbs at the time of surgery and we ordered a medium. It fits him well and as you can see doesnât seem too bothered by it. The photo provided is three days post surgery. I will update the review if it needs to be as we get more use out of it.
