these will lock into place with each other, but not with the inside the house side of the actual cat door. I was told I would need an additional glass door conversion piece. There is a work around. You can use a flat head screw driver to snap off the inner lip of the female side. Doing so means that you can then press this onto the inside the house side of the cat door.

Quality is good, but cat must think it has a guillotine built in!
The door installed perfectly and easily in my wall. I needed and purchased two wall liners, which worked well. The Locking mechanism works well with the collar tag; haven’t had any issues yet, BUT my cat has still not gotten used to the SOUND the system makes when it is unlocking. The cat refuses to go through it at all and has ended up using various places within our house as a new impromptu litter box. When I would coax (read: kindly shove) the cat through the door, it would seemingly not take issue with the sound, and would go through relatively willingly; however when we would go to work for the day I guess she decided it wasn’t worth the risk that there might be some hidden guillotine built into the door, and would instead use our carpet, tile, clean laundry basket, etc as a litter box. We never had this issue with the previous (non-locking) cat door that this one replaced. Now we have effectively left this door in the ‘unlocked’ mode for the last month – which defeats the purpose of us buying a relatively expensive electronic locking cat door.(by the way, we DID do all the recommended ‘training’ recommended by the manual – just when we put it back in the locking mode, the sound freaks the cat out 🙁 ).

Doesn’t fit all Cat Mate Doors!
The description says this “tunnel” will fit all Cat Mate brand cat doors so I ordered two. They do not fit the medium cat door we ordered with these two tunnels.We luckily fit it onto the actual door side, but it does not fit the other end. Had to use wire nippers to cut a slit in the wall of the tunnel piece to make it slide into the end panel. It will work with a slight gap at the bottom.If not for this, I would have given this 5 stars for solid material and great way for us to put in a cat door from our garage to the back yard (with a 6″ deep wall). The door from the house to garage only needed the basic cat door, but going out through garage wall was a different project.

The liner exactly fits with the cat flap as long as you buy the same make and seems to be made of reasonably good plastic. Mine came with no instructions at all for a wall fitting and I resorted to YouTube to find how best to fit this. If you have a cavity wall you will probably need more than one liner and you may also need to cut the depth of the liner to fit – it has 3 grooves around the outside to give you a straight line and it is moderately easy to cut it with a hacksaw. The video clip showed the liner being attached to the cat flap and/or extra liners using tape around the outside which is sensible. However I also recommend using some clear or white waterproof sealant at least along the bottom part where the cats walk through as water may get through the join otherwise.
